Encounter
Although they wore their around their necks, Brew didn’t have to change back into his human persona to help guide Art to the area where he’d seen the leopard. He chirped at Art as he circled overhead, indicating which direction to go. Meanwhile, beneath the tree canopy, Art sniffed the air while keeping his ears and eyes open for signs of the big cat.
No one had questioned why he’d volunteered to make first contact with the animal. As a puma, he was a similar species, so there was a chance he might be able to cow the creature into submission. In addition, as a male, it was also likely he could overcome the leopard by sheer weight and force if it came down to an out-and-out brawl.
