Chapter 16
Problem
They were pulling alongside the dock in front of the lodge when Art’s went off again. “We’re gathered in Papa Bear’s den. Confirm.”
“Affirmative,” Art told . As soon as he’d thrown the rope over a cleat to keep the airboat from drifting away, he and Rikki raced up the walkway. Instead of going through the main lodge, Art took the walkway that went around the side of the building. A few guests were sitting in front of the fire pit. Rikki took Art’s cue and went from running to a fast walk to keep from alarming the tourists.
Almost everyone was present inside the bungalow when they arrived. However, it was who called the meeting to order. “Billie’s on the line. Billie, you’re a go.”
