Decision
“Art, I’m needing some help here, if you can manage it.” stood at the end of the walkway, next to the fire pit.
Art gave him a nod. “Be right with you. Rikki?”
She waved him away. “Go. Do what you need to do. Don’t worry about me.”
“You sure?”
She managed a smile. “Yeah. I’m fine. Really.”
“Thanks. As soon as I’m done, how about I take you back to that spot I wanted to show you, and we do a little sight-seeing?” The insinuation was not lost on her, and she laughed softly.
“Sure. Why not?”
