Arabella hugged her naked self as heart wrenching sob tore from her throat, she didn't know how long she cried here but what she knew was she lost consciousness, when she woke up she found self in a room covered in a quilt, she made to get up but Desiree didn't let her. It was evident she had cried so much, the pain she had felt when she saw her best friend lying unconscious in that dim lit basement naked and violated her made her feel guilty for not been with her. The maid had been the one to tell she saw someone been pulled to the basement but she didn't think much about it.
The memory of what happened earlier came crashing on Arabella and she fell back dejectedly as she cried more, seeing her in this state Desiree couldn't help but cried and feel guilty too.
"I'm sorry Ara, I shouldn't have let you be on your own, it's all my fault." Desiree said in between sob as she pulled Arabella in to a comforting hug patting her back soothingly, it took a while before Arabella calmed down but she looked lost, the spark in her eccentric blue eyes seem to have died out leaving a soulless dull look in her eyes, her lips had paled too leaving bruises.
"I want to go home Ree I can't stay here anymore please take me home." Arabella begged but Desiree shook her head at her.
"It's late already Ara and you can't go home in this state aunt would definitely get worried." Desiree explained to Arabella who nodded thinking about it, she turned the other way as a tears skipped out of her eyes.
"Did you see who did this to you?" Desiree asked after a while.
"I don't want to talk about this right now Dee." Arabella muttered a response not daring to remember Romeo's face. Desiree understood and didn't probe further instead she just sat close to her and patted her hair slowly, it didn't take long for Arabella to fall asleep.
Desiree heaved a sigh of relief watching her sleeping figure before the leaving the room and going back to the living room were the students were playing a game oblivious to the trauma someone had just gone through.
The next morning Arabella hot home with a not so good face but she had to cheer up if she didn't want her mom to find out about what happened last night. She got to the living room and found her mom.
"Good morning Mom." Arabella greeted placing a kiss on her Mom's both cheek.
Aurora noticed her daughter's countenance and frowned.
"Sweetie are you alright? Your face looks pale." Aurora asked her voice laced with concern.
"I'm fine Mom just had a lot to drink last night, my head hurts alot bit there is nothing aspirin and honey water can't cure." Arabella replied forcing a smile to her lips.
"I told you not to drink Arabella, you...."
"C'mon Mom I'm not a kid anymore, everyone was drinking one thing or the other I just couldn't stand there and not try it out and I just have a headache and nothing else." Arabella cut her Mom off gently making sure not to sound rude.
"Alright go freshen up your graduation starts in an hour and I'm sure you wouldn't want to be late." Aurora gave up in surrender while Arabella gave a small smile before heading upstairs to her room, Aurora looked at her for a while before shrugging her shoulders even she though she felt something off about Arabella.
"It's just an headache like she said so it's no big deal." she muttered to herself trying to convince herself, she tried Brown's line for the umpteenth time but was sent straight to voicemail.
"I hope he is okay." Aurora mumbled slowly.
Romeo sat in his room smoking aggressively, right now he is regretting his what he did to Arabella last night, he wasn't in his right mind last night truth been told, he had wanted to get in-between her legs and nothing more but he fell for her instead even though he tried to deny it and the f**king s**t he did last night is making his head go gaga. Her cries from last night seem to be haunting him badly and all he could think of drowning the voice in his head was by smoking.
The door to his room opened and Alexander and Pierce came into the room.
"Holy f**k."
"Holy shit." they both exclaimed at once the room was clouded with smoke but Romeo never spared them a glance he just continue smoking his cigarette ignoring the both of them. Pierce opened the window to dispell the smoke while Alexander took the cigarette from him and putting it out.
With his only source of calm gone Romeo became restless and went towards the mirror in his room and punched it, he kept punching the mirror till it broke completely and the charred pieces piercing his knuckles wounding him badly, Pierce and Alexander stood wondering what was wrong with him.
Romeo sat back down with his face buried in his bloody hands as he cried softly, leaving Pierce and Alex dumbstruck. The almighty Romeo crying in his room, alright this is new.
"I'm sorry....I'm sorry...I'm f*****g sorry." was all Romeo kept chanting as tears cascaded his face.
"What did you do and why the hell apologizing?" Alexander asked but was greeted with silence.
Pierce looked at him for a while and asked one simple question which seemed to hit Romeo's conscience.
"What did you do to Arabella?"
Romeo looked up at Pierce and shook his head surprisingly he broke into a laugh after what seemed like ages he stopped.
"Shouldn't we head to school? It's the last day remember?" Romeo said and went into the bathroom for a quick bath.
"Okay he did something wrong cause the Romeo we know only behaves this way when he is guilty of something." Alexander said when he heard the bathroom door slammed shut. Pierce just kept shut, his hunched told him Romeo did something terrible to Arabella which in the sense was unforgivable.
"When he is ready to talk he will so let him be." Pierce said and brought out his phone.
"Don't tell me you are about to get married to that phone of yours now." Alexander said his face contorting into a frown.
"Well it looks like it so don't bother me anymore." Pierce said and went back to his phone making Alexander groaned in frustration, with no other option he brought out his phone and decided to watch a movie.....
