Dean’s POV The sky was painted in a beautiful rainbow of red, orange, yellow and pink as the sun dipped below the trees, but it was Max in the foreground who truly stole the scene. I was just about to catch up with her as she stepped into the packhouse when a pack member stopped me to discuss ideas for the last three buildings still waiting to be rebuilt. I didn’t mind—this was their home too, and I trusted the pack to decide what suited them best. After we wrapped up, I headed back toward the house. As I reached the door, Max’s voice stopped me cold.
