Dean’s POV After our training session this morning, I was famished. One for Max and two for food—and in that order. She hadn’t been at training this morning, and I missed her presence—the calm, the fire, the way she made every warrior stand straighter just by walking into the room. I missed watching her wipe the floor with Zane and Jason like it was personal therapy. Honestly, it was a little disappointing not seeing Jason get flipped on his back before breakfast. Instead, she’s teaching some cadets how to be good packmates, something we failed them in.
