“Sorry, I've got lots of things in my head” I replied looking up at him
“oh? Things like what?”
“honestly? I am planning not to return home, and… I dont know I am not sure anymore” I replied as my phone began to ring
“sorry one second” I told Wilson as I picked
“...Hello? Hello Oliver? Son?”
“Father”
"My son! Oh God! How are you doing " he asked. It was real good and encouraging to hear his voice, even if it's been only a few days
“How is Vegas?”
"It's um… it's great," I answered, still grinning. "How's the resort and everything father?”
"It's fine everything is fine” he said dismissively.
“Oh?” I knew my father didn't want me to worry at all so I put it aside
“How has been your vacation?” he asked cheerfully
"It's been wonderful," I told him, not really sure just how much I should divulge.
Dad had always known I was gay, and that Simon and I were secretly seeing each other, but I'd never discussed details, not about what we did anyway.
"You're not down there all by your sorry ass, are you?"
My thoughts drifted all the way right to Russel and Wilson
"No, I'm not alone…" Dad gasped. "Did you meet someone?”
I couldn't help but grin. "Something like that, but it's two someones." Then he laughed out loud while Wilson by my side gasped wide eyed.
“Dont settle for less” dad adviced
“yes sir” I replied happily “I'll be home in three days”
I hung up looking at Wilson's shocked expression
“You said it so freely” he said in a hushed whisper
“My dad knows” I smirked back
"Oh? Wow! Right um… is everything okay back home?”
“I think so, he refused to drop any information or hint about anything I am worried but I'll be going back in three days so I'll know the true situation by myself” I replied
“oh” he said looking out the window with so much love, Russel was still chatting with people
I wanted to ask him lots of questions, like how long had they been together, where they lovers or friends at first?
How exactly did they meet? Had there been other single guys who they made a part of their threesome?
How many had there been? And why me? Maybe I was a little naïve and an easy target. But why me? Why not pick some other guy? Why not pick a couple and make it four? But when Wilson looked at me raising his eyebrows at me,
questioning my staring at him, I couldn't do it, I couldn't ask. I don't know why. He'd have answered me honestly. So I took the coward way out instead
“Whats your surname? Where do you stay? Both of you are always early…… I trailed off a bit embarrassed
Wilson gave a pointed glance at me like he knew I was deflecting
“Conti. Wilson Conti is my name and Russell and I live up there, at the managers residence” he said pointing to the second floor of the hotel."You're the manager of this place?" I asked, surprised.
Wilson smiled. "Nope. I am the owner Russell is the manager."
"Wow." I couldn't hide my surprise.
“When I fist started it was tiring and discouraging but three years later I met Russell and now look at the place” he commented
"Still," I conceded, because honestly I never ever thought Wilson could have been the owner of this heavenly place.
I mean he served at the bar"it's a great place. You did a great job." Wilson nodded slowly.
"Thanks. But you're the same as me. You run your own business or should I say businesses." I turned my phone over in my hands and threw it on the table. "Well, maybe not for too much longer, I don't know how much longer I can keep it together…"
"Is it that bad?" he asked sadly and quietly. I sighed. "I won't really know for sure till I go home, but apparently being gay is bad for business."
Wilson's jaw clenched while his gaze hardened and he shook his head. "What will you do?”
"Guess we will find out in three days."
Wilson nodded and sipped his coffee. "Mmm, in three days," he said, almost to himself.
"We should better make each one of those days worth your while." I let out a nervous laugh.
"I was just thinking about the same thing."
"What were you just thinking about?" Russell’s voice jolted me.
I'd been watching Wilson and I had been so engrossed that I hadn't seen Russell come up the stone steps and walk toward us.
Wilson grinned beautifully at his boyfriend. "We were just saying we need to make the most of the next three days that Ollie is gonna be around for."
Oh God. They were going to talk about this in the open? With everyone near us.
In all my time with Simon, we'd never discussed anything we did.
Russell gave us both a pointed stare. "You damn well better not be planning anything that doesn't include me." I laughed out a loud, and Wilson chuckled as he stood up looking towards me and Russell.
"Wouldn't dream of it." He gave me a warm sweet smile and walked off toward the bar.
"Just be sure you're going to be free tonight, okay? I'm sure Russell has something in mind for us to do. You get me?"
He raised his eyebrows suggestively and hummed still walking towards the kitchen making Russell laugh.
"Anyway, I better go get changed and get ready for work." Russell said as he started to leave, but then stopped.
"Oh, and we finish around eight or nine tonight, but anytime you want to sit at the reception desk and keep me company…" He didn't wait for me to answer. It was an implied request.
I bit my bottom lip, knowing damn well I would. I watched him leave, saying "Hi" to a few other guests as he walked through the hotel. I collected my phone off the table and walked back to my room.
