Three months later- Thursday, December 14th, 2023
Daniel and I wait in the waiting area of the ultrasound part of the hospital, sitting down in chairs. I needed to pee really badly but I had to wait till after the ultrasound was finished.
Daniel holds my hand rubbing the back of it slowly and gently. “Shouldn’t be too much longer love. I can’t wait to see our baby. Your belly is getting big now,” he tells me with a smile as he looks down at my little baby bump.
I place my free hand over top of my belly and rub it slowly, feeling the baby kick my hand. “I already know she’s going to be beautiful. But I’ll be happy to see her on the screen,” I tell him cheerfully. I look around the room at the other women that are expecting, smiling at how beautiful they looked.
