I walk over to the door letting the lawyer into the house. He walks in holding a file folder in his hand. I direct him into the living room to sit on the sofa.
Daniel comes over to sit with me in the arm chair, sitting down, he pulls me onto his lap.
Rose walks in and leans up against the wall, staying close to the door.
The lawyer sits down on the sofa and opens up his folder, turning his attention to me. “As you know, my name is Johnathan Flanagan, I’ve been your parents lawyer since you were a little girl Annabelle. I know this is a sad time and I want this to go as smoothly as it can,” he says, pausing, noticing Rose in the entry way. “Are you okay with these people hearing your parents will?”
