“Well, I must thank you for your time,” Emily said, finally.
She turned to Ashley. “I have intruded, and I’m sure you are very busy, after everything,” she continued courteously.
“You’re the largest investor in our largest business partner; of course, we must cater to your needs!” Ashley replied brightly, cordially.
Emily smiled, and Ashley reciprocated.
Both women were silent for an extra second before Emily stood.
Ashley, Raymond, and Tyler did the same.
“Thank you, Raymond, Ty – Inspector Varsen,” Emily stated as she turned to the men, course correcting when it came to Tyler.
She didn’t want to say that name.
