CLARITY I felt raindrops on my skin, making me confused if I had fallen asleep outside. Shouldn’t I be in the office? But I also remember going back to get us lunch. What happened after that? It’s also my first time feeling raindrops that are warm... I opened my eyes in curiosity and realized that it wasn’t rain that dropped on me at all but teardrops. Amos’ tears. Is he crying? “You’re crying? Why are you crying?” I asked and quickly reached out to cup Amos’ face He looked surprised but glad at the same time. Amos’ lips quickly curled into a smile, even though tears were still streaming down his face. I felt my whole body ache but pushed myself up. Amos immediately helped me, embracing me with so much longing that it hurt my chest—not physically, but like a lingering pain in the ches
