WHEN THEY LANDED, NO one gave either of them a second glance as they collected their luggage and dealt with the vague formality of immigration. They were only two hours and change from London and yet, as they stepped out of the airport and into the long-term parking lot, Britain was an entire world away. Here, the air was warmer and the quality of the sunlight different.
