Angela's POV I stepped slowly toward the edge of the bed, holding my breath, afraid even the slightest sound would wake him. Aaron stirred suddenly slow, shifting from lying on his stomach to his side, half his body falling toward me. And that’s when I saw it. The bedside lamp cast light across his side. A long scar ran along his left torso. Pale, silvery. Not a small scratch. A deep, serious wound, something that needed more than stitches to save a life. I froze. I had never really noticed it before. Never imagined something like that existed on his body. I stared at the scar for a long moment.
