It's me

You know those stories of an unwanted child or secret identity, whose loved ones either hated them or abandoned them to drift aimlessly through the world? A worthless no one, almost invincible to their supposed loved ones. A grand rise from nothing to something as they dawn into adulthood. Yeah well that's kind of my story. My name is Cassie turner and I am literally hours away from my graduation feast ceremony at the ripe old age of nineteen, with absolutely no one who gives a crap about me to be there;no support,no family, and definitely no friends,if it weren't for my boyfriend I doubt if I'd attend the ceremony,I'm a late bloomer I guess. Not that it's unusual in my bloodline,as almost every female in my family generation didn't ‘come out’ until they hit their late teens from what I can remember. Unlike others I'm the only one in the pack with this, I like to call late bloom. And one of the reasons I was snubbed by my family and left to my own devices in this hell hole I call home. My ceremony has me all agitated inside and relentlessly pacing my room. At times being this huge disappointment to my family has me all worked up,their fame of when they led and won the war against the rogues might be tarnished because they gave birth to me,and I can't even ‘shift’ yet. Anyway, since they didn't care about me,I have been taking care of myself and bringing food to the table,it's not like they cared where I got the provisions from. I had to leave home early to catch animals in my traps I had set in the forest. And luckily for me I had the best guy by my side Samuel the next alpha of our pack and also the strongest of all men apart from the elderly, of course. I glance at the clock on my nightstand. Its numbers begin to blur as I blink back the tears that well up in my eyes and threaten to spill all over me. It's really here: graduation, the day of days I've been dreading and hoping for in equal measure. The end of one chapter, the beginning of another—yet all I can feel is emptiness. I take a deep breath, trying to steady my nerves. My family's negativity just cannot ruin this moment for me; they will not have that power over me. And Samuel is going to be there; that is all I care about. Slipping into my graduation gown—the dress feels strange against my skin—as I adjust my cap, memories of the past family functions and celebrations come rushing before my eyes. I was always the misfit, the one who did not belong. But today, their judgment is not going to define me. I rushed downstairs, quietly moving in a quick pace making sure no one saw or heard me leaving the house, I opened the back door while raising the upper lip and opening my mouth as the sound of the door creaks filled the atmosphere, I slowly turned my head around making sure no one noticed the sound before I left the house. “Uhm,Cassie where have you been, you think way too much when you should only be thinking about me,” Samuel said rushing in front me, and yes you can guess from his words that he's a natural flirt and naturally better than all the guys that has asked me out on a date. My eyes widened up in shock,”What are you doing here, you're supposed to be—,”. “Shush,i know, but you know I love to get your morning lipstick on my lips,” He says, interrupting me as he makes eye contact with his daring red eyes. “Yeah, especially when yours is touching mine at the same time,”. “You never give up,do you?” I raised my eyebrows as he held the soft palm with his hands. “I can't give up on you. You're like a gem that I'm dying to have. I don't want to leave you, Cassie and I don't want you to leave me either. These were the type of words expected from Samuel. We have been dating for about four years now, even though our love for eachother started right from our childhood. “I can't leave you,and you know that. My heart beats for only you. You should know that I don't go back on my words, and I also expect you not to go back in.” I rubbed his cheeks as he drew closer, placing his lips on mine in a smothering kiss. I opened up for him as our tongues entangled I'm their tales of desire. “You do know how to make me happy,” he said, his lips departing from mine. “I guess I just know how to. You know I believe you and I are meant to be mates blessed by the moon goddess herself. We were bound by fates, and our bodies moved with the time frame,” I proclaimed and he gave a soft infectious smile. “Yeah, like ever since we were together all the ladies in this pack just seemed to vanish from my eyes, leaving only your images in sight,” “Do you think so?” I questioned him more wanting him to use his sweet words with me more. “Yes if beauty was light, you'd shine bright enough to blind me,” He continued, spoiling me with his sweet words. “Okay…. Fine enough we're going to be late.I still don't know how you convinced me to go with you,” I said, using my nails to scratch his hair under his chin. “Well it was simple,I bribed you, you like gifts don't you?,well I've got something for you waiting in the mountain's cabin just for you,” I giggled softly as he pulled me slowly, walking down the aisle as we approached the town hall where the feast is being held,I can already smell the good smell of food and the thought of people who didn't want me there rushes to me, I looked at Samuel, squeezing his hand tightly. “It will be alright,” he said reassuring me as he gave a soft smile. "Hey,what are you two still doing here?," a sharp yet authoritative voice said from behind us.
