He breathes out softly, hoping the splitting headache would suspend but it didn’t—it slightly got worse. Especially whenever he thought of her and how she might hate him more for letting his intrusive thoughts to win. He didn’t mean to hurt her emotionally or physically. He didn’t mean to black mail her, manipulate her into doing what he wants just because he had the power. He knew he was pushing her away instead of drawing her closer. He knew he doesn’t stand a chance with her. He doesn’t even know what he felt for Emerson was actually love or he just wanted to be with her to hide the pain he felt of losing his wife and daughter at the same time. It hurts him more, knowing he could’ve helped them and they would’ve been alive now but he did the most ridiculous thing instead of saving
