THIRD PERSON POV Deep within the forest, far from the pack’s borders, the King of Rogues stood in a clearing. His amber eyes gleamed as he regarded the hooded figure before him—a cloaked informant from within the pack. “Are the defenses as weak as you claim?” the rogue king asked, his voice smooth yet edged with malice. The figure shifted slightly, their features obscured by the cloak. Their voice, low and distorted, carried a note of tension. “They are distracted. The Alpha is torn between Amelia and his mate, and the pack is divided. Now is the perfect time to strike.” The rogue king smirked. “Good. With their attention scattered, it will be easier to break through. You’ve done well, but this alliance isn’t sealed until we’ve infiltrated their heart.” The hooded figure hesitated.
