Chapter 7

Honey's POV:

Last night's conversation was weird. What did he mean by work beside him with an opinion, I will probably be killed before I can give an opinion. However, I do feel that he is different than other leaders. Well, I have already pledged my loyalty to him there is no going back, he is not bad. At least, I have food to eat and don't have to share a tent with all those stinky men like my last life.

Walking to my private training place, I saw Richard standing there. He saw me and a bright smile was shown on his face, how unlike his brother Matthew with only scowls on his face. I still don't understand how nobody notices them apart. Although both of them have a scary face, which is why when Richard smiles everyone was so afraid but in my opinion it was cute. It is funny how people are scare of them.

"Honey I have a place to take you too," He said taking my hand along. Well don't think too much of this gesture, it is only a friendly gesture no wonder so many ladies have their heart broke. Poor ladies. 

"Where are you taking me," I said with a sigh when I just met him. I find him annoying but after a while, he is a good company to have around. He is always serious with his work but at the same time, he is awfully mischievous. I still don't understand how is he related to Matthew who is always serious about anything.

"Well just come along, I promised it will be worth it. All we need is just a little bit of hike." He said letting go of my hand and we begin to hike up the mountain. Have I said Richard is a good companion? After we met not too long ago he no longer sees me as just a female but actually, accepts the fact that I am strong and see me as a worthy opponent which is why I find him easy to get along with. Poor dude has a scary face but a soft heart.

Time skips~

We reach the peak of the hill and he drags me to the edge of the cliff, which makes me immediately on alert. Why did he bring me here? As I looked at him, I saw him smiling as he points down to the camps. My eye went wide, it is a great view from up here. This is the exact same view I see in my past life during my mission but now here I am again. However this time the air is so fresh, maybe it was because they are no pollution in this world.

"Why do you bring me up here", I asked as I continue to look at the view below us. "I heard from Prince Theo that you pledged your loyalty to him, is that true?" He asked while looking at the view just like I do. "Yes, but that still didn't explain why you bring me here", I said now facing towards him. "I am pretty glad actually that you pledged your loyalty to the prince and decided to celebrate by bringing you here. Since you have been nowhere other than the training ground since you are awake from the bed rest." He answers and I gave him a nod.

As we sit on the ground looking taking in the scenery, Richard continues talking and asking questions. "The Emperor lock the Second Prince's mother up in the tower and separating him away since he was young, and recently the Third Prince has been born and he shifts all our knights back to the castle instead of the First Prince. We also found out that the First Prince and the Emperor have been secretly communicating with each other" He said looking at my reaction and then continue again "When the First Prince rage a war from another country, the emperor asked the second prince to go for war, what do you think the king is planning." Richard asked me as he flops on the floor looking directly at the sun.

If the Emperor asked the Second Prince to go to the war instead of the First Prince that rage the war himself...that means that the Emperor wanted to eliminate the Second Prince. I quietly think to myself, not knowing that Richard was smiling beside me. (Don't get it, wrong people, Richard was smiling because he knows that Honey is a trustable person to the Prince). When Sun rises both of them start takes their trip down the mountain and went back to their training.

Theo POV:

The emperor is moving fast, he starts taking in a large number of people. If I don't make a move, I won't have the chance to save my mother. My mother has always been an outcast in the palace, I hate how people would knock her around even if she is the King's mistress. Right after he got himself another mistress he locks her up in a tower, rumours been spreading that he shifts into another side of the tower. I need to get her out of there quickly, but I can't leave my post. War could come out anytime soon. Give out huge sigh, placing my head on my hand while thinking should I proceed with the plan using Honey. Since she is the only knight who is the most compatible for the job, but at the same time, I can't afford to lose someone's life like this. What if she gets caught, will she be ok doing this job alone?

"Your Highness, we brought Lady Honey with us just as you ordered" Looking up at my paper, the twins have arrived with Honey. "Come in," I said. "She looks around her with a raise of eyebrows, just because she is wondering why is she being called here. "Sorry, for calling you at this a late hour," I said while she went back to her usual stand. "That's alright what do you need me for?" she askes as usual she is always direct. 

"I wanted you to rescue someone, she is currently being locked up in a tower at Obresh city, it is located at the other edge of the Ruby Empire guarded by a Holy statue.". I said daring her to reject my first mission for her. "Why me of all person, Your Highness," she said right after a few moments of silence while Matthew looked anxious and agitated with the mission I have given Honey. I know she has recently sworn her loyalty to me and this could be a test for her, my mother's fate would be in her hand while since it won't be obvious if it is her the one who is going for my mother. "Because you are the perfect candidate for this mission and nobody will know about our plan if it's you, the person you be saving is my mother and I entrust her to you". I said sternly as I take my glance off from Matthew back to Honey. 

"I accepted your mission, Your Highness when will this begin?", that is great news that she accepted my mission and now I just have to deal with Matthew and Richard who was actually smiling at Matthew's reaction. Since the day Honey blocks his attack, Richard has starting to accept her. "Your mission will start when the sun rises," I said and she nodded, "You may leave now". 

"I will not fail you, Your Highness," she said as take her leave, Matthew stride forward immediately with a face that says 'I have a million questions to asked but I don't know where to start". 

"What!!Why do you send Honey to rescue Mama Irene!?"came a loud shout from Matthew, I understand his concern but we can only trust Honey." 

"That's right, I am planning to sneak her in with a group of merchendise that is going into obresh. I have decided that Honey is the perfect candidate for the role, which she already accepted." I said, that is true she accepted the mission.

"You are letting her go alone?". His faced hold a scrowl, obviously not trusting Honey.

"Yes, alone it is the only way to sneak her in without getting suspicion from the Palace," I said and face towards Richard so I don't have to answer any of his loud voice question.

"Richard, I wanted you to prepare few of this items that honey requested for the mission, so please double check them." I told Richard as he accept it immediately with a smile. It seems like Richard has accepted Honey, maybe because they train together everyday.

Matthew starts again, "Theo if you are planning to rescue Mama Irene then by have you by chance decided to turn against The Emperor". His question shock me although I have already made up my mind that I will turn against my father. "Yes"...
