Daniel It was a long weekend, and I was back. The school was hopping with the usual chit-chat and laughter in the halls. Kids were shuffling into class, catching up with friends, and exchanging weekend stories. The place was full of chattering, and I just leaned against my locker, trying to ignore it all. I couldn't get my head around the weekend's drama, especially the stuff with Jacob. I thought I had things figured out, but I couldn’t be more wrong. It had been one wild ride. After what happened at the hotel, I had no idea how to face Jacob. The things I said to him were pretty harsh, and the situation we were in was a total mess. The things we did… the things I did. He'd been giving me the cold shoulder since he bolted on Friday night. I had called, but he wasn't picking up.
