Jacob Daniel’s plan was barely a plan. “I’ll talk to her.” That was it. He’d talk to her and then magically, she’d decide to keep her mouth shut. “How sure are you that’s even gonna work, Daniel?” I wasn’t expecting an answer, because from the look of things, it seemed we both knew.
