Searched everywhere for Daniel after class. He had read my text, but didn’t respond.
Then my phone buzzed in my hand.
A text from Daniel.
“Come to the bathroom. NOW!”
The school hours were over, and most of the students were heading back to the dorm.
The text sounded urgent, but I could not leave without attracting the attention of Kenny and his friends.
They’d been gawking at me since after Daniel left the class. And even when the class was over, they’d followed me around like lost puppies… and not in the cute way.
It was in the most annoying ‘I’d break all their heads open’ way.
Kenny’s smirk made everything worse.
“Need to use the bathroom for a minute, K, so it would be really nice if you could hold your friends,” I said slowly, hoping Kenny would understand my
