Chapter 33 – Insights into the past
I stare at my reflection in the mirror, wondering what my life has come to. I wash away the tears from my eyes before drying my face. I am not gonna achieve anything by hiding away in this bathroom. I have to face them now or never. Plus, I can’t really leave; no doubt Julietta’s bodyguard is watching the place.
I slowly make my way through the semi-busy restaurant towards our table. There is no doubt Julietta is upset, but then again, she wouldn’t have been able to do anything. At least not with my friends here.
The first person to see me walk back into the room is Julietta, as the backs of the others aren’t facing me. And she looks slightly relieved but mostly angry at me.
I look down to avoid her before making my way to join her side.
