Chapter 38 – Anew
I watch as we zoom past cars on the freeway and wonder what is happening in each vehicle. It is strange to imagine how different everyone’s lives are and all the various paths they can take. Who would I be if I had taken another path? Would I have met Julietta? Were we destined to be together or just fell together? There are so many questions that I wish I knew the answers to, but I know I never will. I think that I need to focus on the questions that I can get answers to.
“Can we please stop for something to eat?” I ask as my stomach grumbles.
“What do you want?” she questions back.
“Um..” I stopped to think because I was surprised; she even said yes, “Is Macca’s, Ok?” I shyly ask.
“Hmm, it is a bit unhealthy but considering as of tomorrow, we both start a diet.
