The stone wolf lunged.
Kael stepped into its path without hesitation, catching its massive jaws with the splintered remains of his practice sword.
“Little help?” he called through gritted teeth.
Finn didn’t need to be asked twice.
He slammed into the creature, sending it crashing into the stone floor.
Cracks spread through its body.
“Now!”
Lucas darted forward, striking the crack with the hilt of his sword.
The wolf shattered into dozens of pieces.

She squealed.
“I suddenly miss regular homework!”
She ducked just in time.
The creature sailed over her head.
Celeste flicked her wrist.
Glowing vines shot across the chamber, wrapping around the wolf’s legs.
It crashed into a pillar.
Maya grinned.
“Thanks!”
