Adaline sat on her bed trying to do her homework but how could she when any moment her dad would text her and ask how she was her father has seizures to the point he forgets thing and even people on top of all that she had a secret people at school would bully her to the point she didn't want to live. Her best friend Sunny tried to help and so did Brooke and her boyfriend was too caught up in getting into fights because of course she had to date the bad boy. Yes he loved protecting her but at times it only made it worse. They would call her names and stuff so one day she found a way to deal with the mental pain but hurting herself physically. Her step brother knocked on her bedroom do snapping her out of her thoughts ``hey sis bubs is here" she smiled she had and older brother well he was like on they all grew up together and they where always close.she jumped up off of her bed and ran to the living room. "SIS!" he yelled to her and hugged her tight. It had been a month without seeing him. She told him everything except her little secret nobody knew. They hung out in her bedroom listening to music while he helped her with her homework. It was loud in the house so they turned the music up louder her sister had a baby that cries all the time. She swore to herself that she would never have kids and AJ smiled. It was a warm smile that a brother would give to his sister. Her mom was going through a break up with AJ's dad and she became very drunk at time adaline considered AJs dad her dad to so when he left her mom he also never wanted to see her again either it hurt her so bad and that wasn't helping it was cold outside so nobody would notice that she worse long sleeves to hide the cuts on her wrist after awhile Aj stood " hey would you like to go for a walk it kinda nice outside and you cant keep yourself cooped up all damn day" she smiled and nodded yeah sure I need a cigarette anyway and put her shoes on and walked out the door as they walked he joked with her talking about his new fling with a girl name amber saying she was really clingy. She laughed " you always seem to choose the crazy ones' ' AJ chuckled "you pick the bad boys so you have no room to talk adaline" she smiled she was genuinely happy when talking to him because she felt that he's the only person that truly understood her. They headed back to the house where they took different directions she headed down the rows of trailers to her uncles Kenneth's house when she stepped in her smiled diapered no longer there she then felt alone once more walking to her uncle's room she knocked " uncle kenny do you have a cigarette" she waited a moment until his girlfriend flug open the door " what are you doing here Kenneth isn't here to feed you bad habits what is a 14 year old like you smoking anyway and why is he supporting it" adaline looked at the women her hair graying faster then what is should have she smile sweetly at the women even though she was trying to hold back her fist from hitting her she knows the story as to why and how she smokes. " I'll wait in the living room until he get back go back to whatever you where doing ok" this seemed to piss her off so she slammed the door she walked into the kitchen to grab one of the bears in the fridge and popped it open and made her way into the living room where she sat down and propped her feet up on the coffee table the women came out and went to go punch her feet off of the coffee table but stopped when both her uncle kenny and mark walked in chattering the women smiled at him " honey you obnoxious niece is here to ruin your house how can you Condone this behavior" he looked at her then adaline and then feel laughing his ass of her other uncle spoke up " we don't Condon anything she does what she want and when she wants we are technically all the family she has right now so get over it she chose to grieve this way" adelines word logged into her throat. Her tears threatened to spill. He looked at her with a sad smile. She pushed all her emotions down and her face was passive and she set the half empty bottle on the coffee table " I think it's time for me to go.
