I’d been here for two days now, and the more I got to know everyone, the more comfortable I felt. It was astounding how there was more friendship among rogues compared to people who belonged in the same pack. Here, there was no loyalty binding everyone together. They didn’t owe each other anything. Yet, there was equality. Nobody was better than anyone. Ranks didn’t exist here. Everyone lived in peace, and they respected each other. I was sure then that I had found the right place. The goddess wouldn’t have directed me here if she wasn’t sure that I’d be well. I realized that now. I wished that all packs could be this way; there was much to be learned from rogues. We were always told that they were the worst of society because they lived without rules.
