Nino’s POV.
Alpha Braine was exactly as I expected, wild, eccentric, prone to saying exactly what was on her mind and all around someone I wouldn’t take seriously if I didn't know any better.
Yet, even with her overall playfulness and her chirpy behaviour, there was something very menacing about her. Her words seemed to be underlined with a threat and her eyes jumped from my brother to I and then Fiona where they rested for most of the time she spoke to us. Her mate was rather calm and less assessing and menacing than his mate, he spoke very little, other than echoing the welcome that his wife gave and asking us how our travels were. He just stood at Alpha Braine’s side and stared at us blankly.
