Making deals in the middle of a battle had never been my thing, but when a vampire lord has you pinned to the ground with his knee in your back and your mind full of worry for your mate and brothers, you tend to say yes to many things without thinking.
Though for once I’m glad that I’m not the thinking type or else I might have said no to a deal with the vampire and maybe Fiona wouldn’t be curled up in my arms right now.
