NINE Jack Dawring sat in the ceremonial chair and looked around the room. He smiled at the Worshipful Teacher who sat in the east on a raised platform of four steps. His eyes moved toward the Senior Custodian seated in the west on a platform of three levels, as the Junior Custodian sat in the south on two steps. He admired the two tall, carved wooden pillars logistically placed on either side of the Senior Custodian. The triangular placed candles were glowing around the altar to illuminate the Volume of Sanctified Rule. He waited along with the rest of the members for the initiation of a new member and impatiently looked at his watch.
