Marie nervously sat with Cory in Nick’s office and stared mindlessly out the window. It was apparent Nick had new information from the urgency in his phone call. Before Marie’s thoughts drifted back to Myra, she saw Nick rolling himself toward them.
Nick nodded at Marie and rolled behind his desk. “First I want to say how sorry I am to hear about your friend. I’m not going to deny I have no clue what is involved with an exorcism, but I’m sure this is a strain on you.”
Marie faintly smiled. “Thank you. The doctors believe she’s slipped into a coma.”
