“You don’t want to stay there and talk with them?” Chris asked while following after Irene into the kitchen. ‘I wasn’t really expecting him to come to me like this… how should I say it…?’ He started wondering to himself as the other interrupted his thoughts.
“I’d rather talk with you, you seem like less of a pain in the ass to interact with…” Irene admitted while looking at the man up and down as if observing him.
“Is that so? I’m flattered… but… Joseph isn’t as bad as you think he is, he’s a kind man… as long as you treat him kindly.” Chris said as if just for the sake of defending his husband.
