The man in a suit slowly approached Max with the same indifferent expression he previously showed the woman. Only now he’d taken off his glasses. “You’re Max, right? You have a dog’s name…” He remarked in a rather steady voice, almost as if he was mocking the other.
“I guess so… and your name?” Max asked as he extended his hand to greet the man. ‘I still can’t tell… is he here to adopt or does he want something else? His behavior is… odd…’ He thought to himself while tilting his head to the side.
“I don’t actually like dogs… I hate them even…” The mysterious man said as he moved closer to Max, until the other’s back hit the counter. “…more than anything in the world…” He continued while leaned forward and glaring at the man.
