19 EACH MUST PLAY THEIR PART Jake was in a packed backstreet boozer, conducting business surrounded by trusted cronies. He was in his element. “You think I need more o’ these?” He gestured towards a revolver in front of him, making the man across the table from him squirm nervously. “Why are you wastin’ my time like this?” Jake frowned, knowing it made him appear even more intimidating. ”It’s just that I was told to bring it ‘ere to you.” The man motioned towards a bag at his feet. “I got all these wallets, too. I was told to bring it all to you!” “’Oo told you?” Jake sat back in his chair, awaiting the answer calmly, patiently. “It was one of your…” He stumbled over the words, not sure what the polite term was for murdering madmen. “Your men,” he decided upon. “Down Cable Street.”
