Ava's mom had been worried about her daughter's recent behavior. Ava's usual spark had dimmed, and she seemed distant and withdrawn. Her mom couldn't help but wonder what was wrong.

She decided to speak with Miss Clare, Ava's teacher, about her concerns. Miss Clare was known for her understanding and guidance, and Ava's mom hoped she could offer some insight.

Miss Clare listened attentively as Ava's mom expressed her worries. "Ava's been distant and withdrawn lately. I'm not sure what's wrong."

Miss Clare nodded understandingly. "I've noticed. Let me talk to her friends

and see if she know what's going on."

Miss Clare called Mia to her office and asked about Ava's situation. Mia explained the whole story about Jake and the rumors that had been circulating.

Miss Clare listened thoughtfully, her expression empathetic. "I think I need to talk to Ava privately. Can you tell her to come see me?"

Mia nodded and relayed the message to Ava. Ava wasn't sure what to expect, but she trusted Miss Clare.

When Ava met with Miss Clare, the teacher advised her to listen to Jake's apology. "Sometimes, people deserve a chance to explain themselves," Miss Clare said gently.

Ava nodded slightly, considering Miss Clare's words. She hadn't thought about giving Jake another chance, but maybe it was worth hearing him out.

In class, Ava saw Rae and Nelly, who had been spreading rumors about her. She ignored them, not wanting to engage. The tension between them was palpable, but Ava refused to let it get to her.

Miss Clare announced that the history test was approaching. "Next week, we'll be having our test. Make sure to read and prepare thoroughly."

Ava nodded, determined to focus on her studies. She knew she needed to stay on top of her schoolwork, especially with the test looming.

Miss Clare's words about listening to Jake's apology lingered in her mind. Ava wasn't sure if she was ready to forgive him, but she knew she needed to think about it.

As the class ended, Ava gathered her belongings and headed out. She felt a sense of determination wash over her. She would focus on her studies and maybe, just maybe, consider giving Jake a chance to explain himself.
