Adrian’s eyes narrowed as he scanned over the littered bodies still sprawled lifeless across the grounds and garden of the Palace, taking in the aftermath of the attack. There was so much blood- red rivulets streamed into coagulated puddles and seeped into the cracked stone and gravel. Bodies were twisted and contorted, wide-glazed eyes staring into the black abyss of death, their mouths hanging open as if they were still screaming. His blood hummed, buzzing with the heavy anguish residing within him. The smell and taste of death caught in his throat and he choked on it as he let his thirst for vengeance drown him.
