Brandon’s POV
“Brandon!!” Vanessa ran after me as I quickly went after Lucille. Even though she had told me not to touch her or go after her, but I couldn't stay still, I wanted her with every passing day. The divorce had put me into a mental chokehold that I found very hard to get away from.
I was already approaching the parking lot when I felt a hard pull from behind. My body whipped backward and I was surprised to see that it was Venessa.
“Why did you pull me that way?” I snapped her angrily as she breathed heavily. She was trying to catch her breath, looking pale and sweaty but I didn't mind.
I turned away to leave but she ran forward to block me
