CHAPTER 2

1115 Words
I navigated my way to the parking lot. I still can't believe I lost my innocence to a f*****g stranger, damn it! What's wrong with me? I ponder on using my car or a taxi so as not to leave any traces if the stranger thinks of finding out my identity. In the end, I took a taxi to my house. I'm not too familiar with this town and that's particularly why I'm here. There was no one in the house I expected to see two people that's the men I came with. Over the years I have created my image earning me a powerful group than my fathers. It's safe to say three quarters of the underworld now belong to me. Their loyalty lies with me. I have proven myself worth it. More than a hundred times. I fetched my laptop and connected to my phone. Today I went to hack The Jones Valley Hotel CCTV cameras, the reason is to know the big figures whole meet here. This is the Syndicate world it is so dangerous for us to be here this is why I brought just two of my men. Because of my computer skills, I can fake any documents. I also have a tramp card that no one knows even my father or my men. And this is the capability to listen to phone conversations in a particular area and I mean all phone conversations. It's terrifying but I managed to create a domain when I was 12 years. This is the reason I can get anyone on my side obviously by the threat of pouring them at least half of their secrets. My skills on the hacker's list are now as the elders this is because of developing new webs that surpass the humans understanding. So after five minutes of playing with my computer, I now have full control of the Jones Valley Hotel CCTV cameras so I went back to where it all started today. After watching it for what feels like forever I can't bring myself to see the cameras at the corner I found the stranger but fair enough I have seen him in more than enough so I took a screenshot and uploaded it on the image search to identify the person. My jaw dropped. "Name: Xaden Jameson's( the Prince of the Syndicate and the elder son) Age:24" No other important information apart from his educational background and achievements over the years. According to my father, my greater ancestors of the underworld had an agreement with the syndicate which were: not to be involved in the other's fights, no marriages between the two I mean mostly the important figures of each side, business between the two should be done by professionals... And the list goes on with only the three matters to me. "This is bad," I murmured to myself. Quickly went back to the footage again and destroy all the evidence that showed I was there holding my breath. I can't help but feel unease how Xaden is going to take all this, 'will he notice the footage is gone?' "knock, knock," The door opens and my men are there, they are my most trusted and have been by my side for as long as I remember. "Nana, how did it go? We had to go back in there I actually thought something happen you were a little late than we planned and you didn't call us," Wren complained. I smile to him, honestly, this man is like a big brother to me he is always worried whenever I'm out of his sight. He was assigned to me when I was born he has been by my side as long as I remember. He is the only one who knew the horror I went through when my mom was killed. He knows exactly what made me heartless, he knows what created the monster I am now. He was kneeling by my side that day, wrapping his hand over my mouth and pressing me on the ground so that I couldn't spring up and run to my mother. "Hold it Nana hold it! Don't you want to avenger your mother when the time comes?" I can still hear his words and his trembling body pressing me down as I we watch my mother and his bodyguards being slaughtered. " Everything's good, Wren, I decided not to make it obvious why I was there so I enjoyed a glass of wine," I told them. "I told you," Riccardo shrugs and takes a sit on the sofa opposite me. "Car?" Wren asked. Wren knew me well he knew something was up. "I left it, I didn't want it to be traced to us but you will get it tomorrow for me," I said as I waved my hand casually, this always means the end of that particular topic. He sighed and let it go in defeat. I actually like this man because he has all his faith in me. Just like Riccardo, they believe that I'm worth their lives. We break to rest for the night. I can't get sleep...how can I? The Syndicate are our enemies. It's only because of the agreement that they have not acted as far as I know. Still, when I remember the warmth of his skin, his hardness penetrating me, his breath, wait, his breath it smells... like cinnamon, masculinity, richness, and something else I can't quite put a fingure on. A low smile tagged my lips, and realizing it I quickly scolded myself in my heart. ' What the f**k is wrong with me?' As much as I wanted to stay for some more time here for my initial goal and also to know more about Xaden I can't make the mistake of being discovered by the Syndicate. Of course, I wouldn't care because I wouldn't mind a war breaking out but losing isn't my thing. By the time I woke up the next morning, Wren had retrieved the car. "Nana morning?" Riccardo called from the dining and I realized that it's really late they are even having lunch! 'f**k this is crazy I have never been asleep past five in the morning' "Morning Riccardo." I smiled to him and turn to look at Wren. " Good afternoon princess," Wren said looking at me like he just saw me for the first time ever. I sighed, "Good Afternoon Wren... Well, I woke up with a headache this morning and you know I hate medicine so I forced myself to rest, anyway we have to get moving." I just lied to them...to be sincere I also don't know what's wrong with me.
