After Party

“What was that all about?” Amber asked Kamandag while lying on her bed. The snake crawled out of her glittering gown, and she comforted herself within the soft bed. “As what they said, the vision of the twin kings,” she answered Amber and then the maiden turned her head towards her companion and just stared at her for a couple of seconds. Moments later, Kamandag felt a little bit of awkwardness in their situation at the moment. “Ahhh, what’s that supposed to mean?” the striped snake asked in confusion with one of her eyelids raised on Amber. “Nothing, I’m just wondering, the final act of the play left me hanging,” she admitted. “Also, at the same time, it felt like that there is a piece missing on that scene that made me question, that I cannot tell for the time being,” she added and Kamandag understood her explanation. “Well, their disappearance years ago was a big mystery to all of the people here in the Kingdom based on what I heard back in the town,” the snake replied to her with an attempt to hide again under her gown but Amber slammed her hands down to prevent her from doing so. “Hey!” the snake was surprised and shouted. “What’s that for?” she asked. “The deal,” Amber straightforwardly answered and she saw the immediate response of the snake with a bit of nervousness seen on her face. “What deal?” the striped snake attempted to play dumb in hopes of escaping their deal as she crawls backwards. She really doesn’t want other creatures to see her in that form. “Hey no fair!” the maiden protested and cornered the snake to prevent it from escaping. “I tried my best back there to remain calm and I think I deserve a reward to see your other form,” she pouted while telling the snake all her hard work. Kamandag’s guilt instantly pounded her heart which froze her from where she is and avoided the maiden’s gaze. She couldn’t resist those fluffy eyes that she is throwing at the snake right now. “Please,” Amber added with much cuter voice and the snake had enough. Without even noticing the snake transformed into a tall lady like human but with a huge bat wings at her back. Amber jolted backwards as Kamandag’s other form towers over her, and still keeping her eyes nailed to her friend. She was mesmerized how a red dust spirals over here which completes the transformation which leaves her in a state of greater shock. Kamandag is completely n***d which doesn’t bother her since they are both females inside the room for the moment but the snake was completely embarrassed, because she just realized that she transformed without her knowing. Her long hair with the color of beautiful green leaves with a hint of autumn at the tip. Her perfectly curve shape matching with her snow like skin and Amber felt insecure when her eyes points towards her chest. “Wow,” Amber whispered silently as she resumes admiring her completely perfect figure, it’s like there is a goddess that appeared in front of her. Kamandag slowly turned her head towards Amber as she is still embarrassed and then the maiden took the chance to picture her face with her memory. A deep set of eyes with her pointed nose and a crimson lip. She had a glimpse of her teeth that has luster of pearl, and her fangs are still there. She noticed that her eyebrows are also green colored while the color of her eyes are completely blue. “You look perfect,” she said in awe but Kamandag quickly hid herself behind her huge bat wings and then the red dust appeared again and spirals over her again. “That’s it,” the striped snake said still embarrassed after turning back. “Satisfied?” she asked the maiden that’s still frozen and she hissed loudly which brings back the maiden to reality. “Hey! Why didn’t you tell me that you were that perfect,” she asked in surprise and the snake crawls a little backwards. “For a moment I thought that I saw a goddess,” she added but her admiration quickly turned to confusion and she stared back to the snake questioning her with her eyes. “Why are you hiding that form to other, when in fact it can attract all of the men here in the kingdom?” she asked. “It’s something personal that I cannot tell you,” the striped snake answered coldly while avoiding her gaze towards Amber. The maiden realized quickly that she is invading her private space and she instantly backs off and offered her hand to the snake. “You are allowed to climb back at me again,” she said after Kamandag fulfilled her part to the deal. The snake timidly climbed towards her to hide again inside her gown and the maiden noticed this and she grew concerned on the snake. She felt guilty for forcing Kamandag to transform but she is not aware of that consequence to her friend’s mental state. “I’m sorry,” she whispered and with her deep thinking again, she lays down to the bed and moments later she fell asleep. .               .               . A loud knock on the door awoken her and she quickly gets up but she can’t, as her gown prevents her from doing so. The loud knock continues and she struggles to get out of the bed. When she finally got up, she rushed towards the door and quickly opened it. She saw an encantada waiting for her outside, wearing a nervous expression. “What was that?” Kamandag asked the maiden, still feeling drowsy. “I don’t know,” she whispered back to the snake in her shoulders avoiding some suspicion to the girl waiting for her outside. From the appearance she can tell that the encantada is pretty young but she is not sure since she knows that humans age much faster than the creature living in this world. “Why?” Amber asked the encantada and doesn’t know what to add in her question since her expression has affected her thinking. “Good evening your highness,” she formally greeted her and Amber shows a little sign of shock when she heard the word “evening”, she didn’t expect that she slept that long. “I am Tanya, and the kings are calling for you and they are waiting in their chancellery,” she said and the maiden has no idea what chancellery is, but she is too shy to ask Tanya what is it. “Will be there in a minute, I will just change my clothes,” she said and Tanya walked away without saying her regards, but Amber didn’t mind it at all since she hated being addressed as a royal. She quickly closed the door and. “Hey Kamandag,” she called to the snake trying to sleep again and the snake yawned. “Why?” while she is trying to wake her spirits up. “I don’t know what chancellery is,” she straightforwardly said. “In your world it’s called an office,” she answered quickly, and then she crawled out of her since there is no one inside the room except for them. “Why do you ask?” the snake seeks answer since she didn’t pay much attention to their conversation earlier. “The kings are calling for me and I don’t know why,” she said. “Maybe an important matter,” she suggested. “That’s the point, it’s making me nervous since I don’t know what that important matter is,” she said while moving two of her fingers upside-down to quote the word “important matter”. “How will you know if you don’t change clothes and go to them,” the snake pointed out that Amber is still wearing her gown and the maiden remembered that she needs to change. “Sh*t!” she exclaimed and rushed towards the wardrobe inside the room to change her clothes. “Hurry! This seems important,” Kamandag shouted and that put more pressure on the maiden who has been wearing her clothes the other way around. She stayed there for a couple of minutes trying to redo her clothes. Meanwhile on Arthur’s home he is having a peaceful dinner with his family, and it’s been a while since he they eat supper together. Arthur rarely comes to his family’s house since he has a separate room in the kingdom, and because of overloaded duty to him, he hasn’t had that much time for himself except for the orders given to him by the kings. Since he has a long-time journey coming up the twin kings gave him a day off to spend a quality time with his parents that he missed so much. “I didn’t expect that you will come home today, you should give us an early notice so we can prepare a special dinner for our beloved son,” his mother Georgia broke the silence between them four. “Sorry mother, also I didn’t expect this free time,” he admitted. “Let me guess brother, you will be away from the kingdom for a while, aren’t you?” her sister Morgana guessed, staying sharp as ever. Arthur was not surprised by her sister’s accurate guess. “Yes, as she said the kings ordered me to have a long journey, and I will be gone for two months,” he admitted. -The Phoenix's Maiden-
