I get into my car and drive off, shots are taken of me. But I am not followed, I speed through and go to Zane’s cabin. I park the car and Xavier smiles when he sees me “Anything you need?” he asks “No, it’s fine. Thanks, Xavier” I say and sit down on the porch looking at the serenity of the place. My phone rings with Zane’s number but I ignore it. Two hours later he finally drives up, he gets out of his car and I am running to him. Before he realizes what is going on I crash my lips on his. Two weeks pass and I finally decided to address the press. “Good evening, everyone” I address them. “You are probably all wondering what is happening with me and Jackson,” I tell them, and Yes is heard around the crowd “I have not laid my eyes on him since the day he was kicked out of the board at the company. He has not shown up at our house or anywhere else for that matter” I tell them and they gasp. “Do you think he is living with the girl who he was caught with?” someone asks “I would not be surprised. But the reason I have called this press conference is for one reason actually. He has not been answering my calls or anything. I hereby tell you, Jackson, that I am officially filing for a divorce. If you do not show up it will be annulled and everything that was gifted by my parents to you through our marriage will automatically be returned to me” I explain in the camera and they all gasp “Are you hoping he will not show?” someone asks “It would make things easier, but it would not give me closure. So him showing up will give me the closure I need, but it will bring along a lot more issues” I tell them and they nod in understanding. “Hereby I close the conference, I only wanted to give Jackson this message. You will hear from me again if there are any developments regarding the divorce” I tell them and I walk away. People still throwing questions at me but I ignore them and get into my car.

I drive to the office of my divorce lawyer. I get out and walk in, announcing to the receptionist I have an appointment with Miss. Jane. Not long after she leads me to her office and I sit down “Good afternoon” I say with a smile “Good afternoon. Smart way of trying to contact him” she says and I nod “Thanks”. “So, how do you want to handle this?” She asks me. “I want to set up the divorce papers. Everything I own will be split between the two of us except for my shares in the company. When the contracts were drafted for me to take the shares they also stated in it that in the case of a divorce the company shares were not to be split. The lawyer who looked them over agreed so they are out of reach for him. When the divorce papers are drafted I want to work on the annulment. He has until we finish that to show up or I will go through with the annulment” I tell her and she nods “Fair, and smart” she smiles at me. “I will set up the divorce papers, I will give you a call when I finish them so you can look over them and give the okay or if you want to change something” she smiles at me and I nod at her. “Thank you so much for your help” I say and hold out my hand “It’s my job and my pleasure to help you in this difficult time” she says and smiles sadly. I nod and walk out of her office.

I get into my car and drive to Zane’s cabin, with everything going on I need some peace. He has given me access to his garage code so I park my car in there and then take a walk around a small trail around his property. I end up at the small lake a little further away and decide to go for a swim. I undress to my underwear making sure no one is around. And then I dive into the lake feeling refreshed from the cold water, soothing my sore muscles. There is a small waterfall from the stream that falls over some rocks into the lake and I rest there letting the water, fall on my head. ‘the last two weeks have been pretty amazing, ever since I jumped him and kissed him he hasn’t tried anything else but on our, Saturday dates it’s not holding hands anymore he just swings his arm around my shoulder. Yes, I really wanted to do that for a long time. But I am still a married woman. And he knows that I respect that even though my husband does not. I am kind of disappointed, I expected him to be the aggressive type, clearly since my dream was pretty aggressive. But I like this considerate side as well. I am so in conflict about what I want him to do’ I think to myself.

I swim a little bit to the side and stand up. I turn around and dive into the water again, when I come up I stand up straight since it’s not very deep and pull my hands over my hair wiping it back. “Gorgeous” I hear Zane behind me. How are you dealing with the divorce?” He asks me after dinner. “I told my lawyer to draw up the divorce papers first. Everything I have will be divided among us except for the company. After I approve of that she will start working on the annulment. He has until she finishes that to show up, otherwise, I will go through with the annulment” I explain and he nods “Still giving him a chance huh” he says and raises an eyebrow “I sort of like to get closure. I don’t mind if I don’t see him again. but I don’t want to wonder the rest of my life why he didn’t even try you know? Even if his reasons are legit. I won’t change my mind, but I would like to know” I explain. “I can understand that,” he says while wrapping his arm around me pulling me into his side. We stay like that for another few hours just enjoying the feeling of the forest, talking about silly stuff while we are at it. Ever since she kissed me, I have to keep pulling myself back. I keep the urge to kiss her and take things further but I know she will not appreciate it, not yet at least. I will have to be patient, when the divorce is through I can take the next step. But that is when I see her in her underwear swimming in the lake close to my place.
