I just ended the call with Zane who told me to get out, apparently, he is taking me out to dinner. I grabbed my purse inside and I walk back out and he is waiting at the bottom of the steps, he holds out his hand and I take it. He leads me with his hand on my back to the car and helps me in. He closes the door while I buckle in and he walks around to the drivers' side. He backs out of the driveway and turns to drive towards the woods and I drive. He takes a right, driving into the woods “Is this where you are going to kill me?” I ask and he chuckles “No, we’re going to my place. I have servants who make sure I have dinner to eat every hour of the day,” he says while looking over at me. “Hmm, a nature man lives in the woods. Makes sense” I say and smile. I look out the window and enjoy the trees that zip by, “It’s beautiful here” I say after a while “Yes, it is. One of the reasons I chose this spot” he says, he takes a turn and we drive onto a small clearing with a cabin. It’s larger than I expected for a cabin in the woods, but yeah we’re talking about Zane here so, I’m not that surprised. I get out of the car and take a deep breath, it’s been too long since I’ve been out in nature. The forest smells always relaxed me, and after everything this week I could use some relaxation. I look around and big Spruce trees surround us, The cabin has a porch at the front where a swing is settled and some couches on the other side. There are two floors and looks very rustic with all the woodwork. I take another breath or two and then I look to my left, Zane is staring at me with a smile “Like it?” he asks “Yes, it’s been too long since I’ve been in nature. It always helps me relax.” I tell him and smile “yeah, I go crazy without nature around me, that’s why I live out here,” he says while looking around. “Come on,” he says and shows me inside. It’s an open floorplan downstairs, to my right is a hearth which is burning, a couch in front of it with a chair on each side closer to the fire with a coffee table in front of it, behind that is a dining table with 6 chairs, to the left is the kitchen surprisingly warm with wooden hints here and there, a marble counter, with a kitchen island in the middle, to my direct left is a door, I presume a bathroom and then stairs leading to the upper floor. Underneath the couch is a rug as well. A lot of natural colors are present here and I love it. Some pictures are placed on top of the hearth and I walk over to them.
He follows me and points to a foto with a big group and shows me who is important to him. He has his arm slung around a girl his age “Girlfriend?” I ask “No, she is happily married, we are just close, always have been. Our parents’ were friends so we grew up together” he explains and I smile. “You’re not what I expected you know,” I say to him while he leads me to the kitchen island. “Well, those rumors, they do affect people whether we like or not. I try to ignore it but sometimes it can’t be helped. I pretty much thought you were typically a moody stuck up rich guy. But you’re really down to earth” I say and he smiles “Glad to hear that I have changed your opinion” he says and I smile back at him. He opens the fridge and grabs some dishes out, he puts them in the microwave and after a few minutes, we’re eating some fabulous spaghetti. During dinner I am enjoying myself, learning more about him. After we’re done he puts the plates in the dishwasher and we sit down on the couch in front of the hearth. “So, your husband is not loyal huh?” he asks suddenly and I groan “No, I never thought he was. But when I returned to the office he wanted to know about our meeting, basically, he disagreed about my methods of reeling clients in. I got angry and got closer to the desk, where I saw blonde hair peeking out from underneath. And it hurt, it’s an arranged marriage but still, he is my husband, and suspecting and seeing it are two different things. Especially since he doesn’t give me the time of the day as his wife” I say. “I’m sorry you have to go through that. That’s never pretty” he says and I nod “Thanks. It sucks but can’t get out of it anyway, so I’ll just have to live with it” I say and shrug. He grabs my hand and rubs circles on it “You don’t have to live with it, there is always a way out” he says and smiles sadly at me and I sigh “There is, but I am not going to give him the pleasure of taking my company away from me” I tell him and then look at him “Why am I telling you the misery of my life?” I ask him with a frown and he shrugs “you must feel comfortable” he says and smiles “I am” I tell him and nod. “What I don’t understand is why he doesn’t give you any time of the day, you’re beautiful and spirited,” he says and shakes his head. “I probably scared him,” I tell him honestly “how? “he asks with a small frown and I sigh “Not sure I feel comfortable telling you about that,” I say and blush slightly making me chuckle “You don’t have to, but know you can if you want.” He says and smiles. I lean back into the couch “I kind of was scared to death of him on our honeymoon, you know when uhh..” I say and look away feeling my cheeks heat up a lot. He grabs my chin and makes me look at him “I like it when you blush” he says and smiles “So, honeymoon? s*x you mean? When he came onto you, you were scared?” he asks unsure and I just nod. “Why?” he asks confused “Well, for starters it was supposed to be my first time, yes I was nervous about that but. The way he looked at me is what scared me, he was like a completely different person. He literally ripped my dress off my body the moment we entered the bedroom and he was really rough and looking at me like I was literally prey. Not like someone who saw me as his prey for s*x but like he literally was going to eat me and yeah, I was scared to death because of that. When I finally screamed at him to stop he fled out of the house. And we have never been in the same bedroom again since” I tell him and I swear I hear a small growl coming from him. “Bastard” he whispers but I heard him. I chuckle “Another thing we agree on,” I say and he chuckles, lightening his moods again.
“would you like to sit on the porch?” he asks and I nod “Yeah, I could use some forest air,” I tell him and he helps me up. He leads me to the swing and we sit down “So, did you get any time to check your schedule?” He says smiling at me “s**t, no I didn’t” I say and we both chuckle. “Think you can put me somewhere next week?” he asks “No, I’m completely booked next week. I could make an exception for a weekend day though” I say and shrug. “No, I’m not gonna let you do that. We’ll make do the next week. I would like to take you out though” he says sheepishly and my eyes widen “Asking a married woman to go out with you huh?” I tease him “yeah, well. It’s not like you’re happily married. He is doing whatever the f**k he wants, you should be allowed to have some fun as well. And I like you so far, I don’t mind seeing where this would go” he tells me with a smile and I shake my head with humor. “I don’t know,” I say, I like the idea a lot, but I’m just not like that “You’re not like that? Then just see it as going out with a friend and doing something fun. We won’t see it as a date” he says as if he could read my mind and a smile appears on my face “I would love that” I say to him honestly. “Good, it’s a deal,” he says and I nod. We talk a lot more that evening, just getting to know each other. A lot of things we talk about are what we do with mother nature and before I know it I feel like I am flying and then a soft mattress is underneath me and I drift off into oblivion again.
The next morning I am disoriented, not knowing where I am and then I remember my evening and I feel like a f*****g teenager with a crush. I look around but don’t see Zane. I get out of bed and find my shoes next to the bed. I put them on and make my way out of the room. I look around and not long after I find the stairs, I make my way downstairs and am met with a man “Good morning, miss” he says with a curt nod “Good morning” I say awkwardly. Then I remember the servants “do you know where Zane is?” I ask him. He points to the couch and he sprawled out over the couch sleeping and I smile. “would you like some breakfast miss?” he asks me. “I would love to thanks,” I say to him and sit down at the kitchen island. Suddenly Zane mumbles something in his sleep and we both chuckle softly at it. Not long after he opens his eyes and they snap onto me and I smile. He smiles back at me and gets up groaning “You could have just put me on the couch you know” I say to him while raising an eyebrow. “No, I am not going to let a lady sleep on the couch in my house,” he says deadpan “All right,” I say holding up my hands in defense. He walks over to me pulling his hands through his hair and god is he mesmerizing, His black hair mussed from sleep, his green eyes shining out, but still, with a bit of sleep in them, his morning stubble is sexy as hell. He had pulled his shirt off and god, those muscles make me drool. A sexy V disappearing into his pants, with a little bit of hair on his chest and stomach but it’s kept up nicely, making it masculine. God, I am staring, I need to stop. Slowly my eyes go back to his eyes and he is smirking at me “Like what you see?” he asks and the help chuckles and I blush hard while diverting my gaze down to my hands. He chuckles and sits down next to me “You can look you know” he whispers while trailing down a finger on my jaw. I snap my eyes to his and glare at him making him chuckle. Suddenly I see the green dress I am still wearing and the dream pops up in my head. Oh for god's sake, I curse myself while feeling myself getting wet at the idea of his c**k in my mouth, his mouth on me. I hear him grunt next to me and then he gets up, “going to change babe” he says and winks at me while rushing up the stairs. I sigh in relief and a plate is put down in front of me. “Thank you,” I say “You’re welcome, may you enjoy,” he says and then walks out leaving a second plate next to me. I focus on my food and slowly my arousal ebs away. Not long after Zane comes back down and takes his seat next to me again, the image popping up again but I shove it away and focus on my breakfast. “So, we are going out today. I’ll take you home so you can change into something comfortable and then we’ll go right away if that’s all right?” he asks “Sure” I say and nod. “good” he says and smiles at me. I feel kind of awkward since the image keeps popping up in my mind. After breakfast he takes me home “we’re going for a long hike, so dress for that” he tells me and I nod “All right” I say and get out. He follows me and I tell him to wait in the living room and to make himself comfortable while I take a shower and change.
I get ready quickly and make my way back down. “Ready?” he asks me and I nod. “Good,” he says and smiles. He drives back to his place and I chuckle “what?” he asks “Like we never left” I tell him and he smiles. We get out and he grabs my hand walking onto a path that leads into the woods. He keeps holding my hand and the tingles are nerve-wracking honestly. After an hour I am ready for a break when we reach a clearing in the woods and I gasp loudly “Holy s**t” I say walking forward fast. “Careful, it can be slippery,” he says and I slow down. He brought me to an overlook of the forest, it is higher than the spruce trees and the view is breathtaking. “Beautiful” I whisper. “It is,” he says, when I look at him he is looking intently at me and I blush looking back at the view again. “come on,” he says grabbing my hand again “I want to stay a little longer,” I tell him “I know, look,” he says pointing to the side where a table is set up with a cooler next to it. I smile ‘this is SOO a date’ I think to myself while shaking my head. “what is it?” he asks “Not a date huh?” I ask and raise an eyebrow. “It is whatever we think it is,” he says and winks at me and I blush again. he chuckles and leads me to the table, giving me the view of course. He unpacks the cooler, there are some bottles of water and some sandwiches. We eat in silence, me enjoying the view mostly while sneaking glances at him who is staring intently at me, giving me butterflies. After lunch, he grabs a bottle of water and we continue our hike. We are not talking, just enjoying the scenery, and it’s comfortable. He is still holding my hand and the tingles are distracting me honestly. When we return it’s dinner time and his staff has prepared a meal for us and then left us alone. “Did you enjoy yourself?” He asks as we sit down “Yes, I needed that” I say, my feet aching from all the walking but it’s a nice ache. He drops me off at home and walks me inside. “Why don’t we do this regularely?” he asks me. I smile “I would like that. I’ve not been making time lately to go out” I tell him and he nods. “Want to set a day for it?” he asks “Saturday’s work for me? Then I have Sunday to tank up for the workweek” I say to him with a grin “It’s a date” he says with a wink before chuckling. I shake my head “no dates” I say and glare playfully at him. He walks over and grabs my hand “Whatever you say” he whispers and kisses my forehead. “Call me Friday, we’ll set up an appointment for the deal,” he says and I nod “I will,” I say and he walks out of the door. I wait until he backs out of the driveway before closing the door.
