ADAM POV I couldn’t believe she spent the entire day yesterday avoiding me. Max and I had been wondering if maybe she was shocked that I was her mate. We didn’t want to believe that she didn’t want us. Then again, this morning when we left the pack and boarded the jet that would be taking us to San Francisco, she sat as far away from me as possible. Right in between her friends, Penelope and some other girl I never met. By the way, I kept catching them staring at me. I assumed she had told them I was her mate. Why tell them if she’s ashamed or regretful? It didn’t make sense. “Maybe talk to her without your hands down her pants?” Max suggested. It was a bit unfair to expect her to form a sentence when I was doing everything to drive her wild. When we landed, we went to Mel’s apartment.
