The maids got to where the guards were seated and they were panting with shock written on their faces. They both sat beside the guards as they shuddered with trepidation.
"Simon, don't you see what is happening?" Veera asked.
"What are you talking about?" he asked feigning he doesn't understand what she is talking about.
"I mean, don't you see the princess touching and playing with seven strange birds?" Veera asked.
"Yes, I do," he replied as he looked unperturbed while he was eating a piece of banana.
"Then, why are you not bothered? Don't you find it strange?" she asked.
"Well, to be honest, I do not," he said as he finished eating the banana in his hand and threw the peel on the ground. He then picked another one from the dish.
