As Tezan and his father fell into the sea, he started drowning because he didn't know how to swim. His father started swimming as fast as possible towards him.
The water was moving Tezan farther away from his father as he was drowning and he was desperately struggling to stay afloat. He was going inside the water and coming out as he fought for his life. Anytime he tried to shout, he would end up gulping the salty water.
