I woke up in the gloomy day under the shuddering dark clouds, creating a faint noise of thunder,
drowsily trying to stand myself in the middle of the road with the emerald colors of trees to be
seen everywhere. Narrowing my eyes, analyzing where does this strange place came from.
Limping my leg to walk as I rummage the whole body of this certain area.
I totally have forgotten the cause of my body being deported in this place. My body shivers as the
wind started to touch my sensitive skin with my loosen shirt and ragged shorts. Time flew so
fast, still walking in nowhere with my bare feet 'till I heard the sound of the engine coming in my
direction.
I gazed at the point of the light, covering my half vision with my hand on the forehead, patiently
waiting for the car traveling at my designated position, making me delighted in a moment for
finally, I'll be going out of this dense forest.
You are the savior of the lost angel. I mentally blabbered in my brain being overwhelmed,
thinking the idea of escaping this place. But I assumed way too far, it just passed, ignoring the
helpless pitiful person stuck in this deserted coldly place.
It's a slow-motion in the part while that car, surpassing in front of me. It's a shame when I
realized that who would help a weird stranger in the middle of somewhere. Maybe, that driver
thinks that I'm a ghost.
I have hopelessly fallen into the cold floor of the road causing my thigh to bump harshly. What
would happen now? Will I possibly survive the next day? My whole body stiffened for a moment
confusingly to resolve my problem in distress. Stared for a longer period like a crazy woman in
an asylum, 'till someone taps my shoulder.
Someone continually taps my shoulder while I'm unconsciously absent-minded in the situation. I
did not get to acknowledge that presence when I finally came back to my senses as I compose
myself and turn around my head to that old woman came from I-do-not-know-where.
I started my question. "Ah- yes? How may I help you?"
Silly. I can't even help myself, how about this old woman?
"I should be the one's asking you, how may I help you in our world?" she began.
My eyebrows met as I composed a sentence. "Your world?" Then I pointed my finger into her.
"What do you mean?" I continue.
She extends her arms probably to help me to stand. "Follow me, and I'll tell you all the things
that you want to ask." Overemphasizing the word "ALL."
Even when I am hesitating to follow, I did what she wanted me to do, frantically held her hand,
my heart beating extremely, pounding heavily. I have no other choice but to trust my instinctive
mind. Who would I trust if she is not, then?
So as we walk in the middle of the road, nothing is unusual happened. Only the sky changed,
gradually turning darker as night approaches, the sky was filled with millions of shining stars. It
was weird yet alluring. Through my perspective seeing the stars in the sky was huge.
The sky was not just painted with black, it was tainted with a dash of pinkish-purple color
seemingly spreading throughout the whole place, like a fairy tale only I've seen in the books and
unrealistic in my view. Only in a Science class, Right! The color of the Galaxy was in my sight.
I raised my pointer finger as a sign of the idea came from my head like a light bulb
unexpectedly appeared above my head, with an imaginary saying, 'ting! The old woman suddenly turned her head finding out what's all about the commotions happening behind her.
I have forcibly smiled as a sign of escaping-mechanism in an embarrassing situation. She
equally exchanges a smile too, then averted her head as she walks to the never-ending again.
That didn't last long. After a couple of minutes go by, we saw a one-story, peach painted
house, signage of a cranky wooden-made in the gate that is rusty, dangling and ready to fall.
Vines were mostly found in every station of her house that anyone would conclude that this is
an abandon if you don't know of its owner.
She began to open the gate causing to create an unpleasant din of a rusty gate that's been
moving widely open as our pathway.
She motioned her hands signaling me to enter with a contagious smile. "This way, enter"
She precedes the way followed by me patiently walking due to her age having difficulties time
to walk. She stopped for a second making me alarmed so I did too. She, then, again walks
quicker than before like a healthy teenager so I equally did as the same amount of hers.
Suddenly, I realized that following her without thinking any further might cause me harm. But on
the other hand, there's something inside me, urging me to patiently wait as she informs me
every detail I am anticipating to know. As I deeply thinking while continuously walking, she
stopped once again.
"Just right at this moment," she rotates her body to my direction. "You'll discover the
undiscovered, you'll know the mystery. It's for you on how to handle."
Bewildered by her unpredicted demeanor like she has the telepathy ability. I creased my
forehead as I ask her, I don't wanna beat around the bush, I let out a heavy sigh as I began to
speak.
"Can you tell it to me directly? Stop with the metaphor." I muttered in clenched jaws, impatiently
waiting for a clue.
"You have a big task that you need to be accomplished as soon as possible. No one must
know. NO ONE."
Nonsense.
"Listen to me very carefully," she uttered as she held my hand catching my attention like I really
shouldn't miss this one.
Stuck staring right at her. Deeply analyzing her thoughts and emotion in her green-eyed orbs.
"Your younger brother's life depends on how you behave in this world, our world. Your life in the
the outside universe will gain a big impact as you take the mission." she said.
I winced in pain as she squeezed my wrist. Oh God! I just remembered Prince, my mind lost in a
a shocking sequence of events happening to me here.
"Every person in this world has its own connectivity on your planet, Earth. We live in the future of
your present day. Our life signifies your lifetime. Our present correlated to your foreboding
future. We're a year advanced to your timeline. What happens to our lives connects to what will
happen to your fate on Earth."
My eyebrows met, confusingly absorbing what has she just said.
"W-What do you mean? Where am I, then?" I immediately questioned followed by another
question.
She just intently stared right back at me, as if deriving my inner soul. My chest pounding heavily
as I waited for the next statement I will be hearing. My mouth subtlety opened leniently hoping
to feed my curiosity.
"at the Parallel Universe, and you borrowed someone's body," she replied.
