Chapter two

"You should not be here. You have no place in this family anymore," she said in a rude tone with a frown on her face. Drax chuckled while he gazed at her. "You really have no shame, do you? Speaking like this after trying to kill your own husband," Drax retorted, and that made Kira's heart sink instantly. First she wondered how he survived and drove back the assassin's car and now he knows? "I must quickly discredit this. If people know what I've done, my family's company will be ruined," Kira thought to herself. "What nonsense are you spilling, Aiden? Are you drunk? This is our wedding anniversary night and you decided to get drunk tonight?" Kira asked and crossed her arms but Drax dipped his hand into his pocket and took out the necklace that Aiden had purchased for his wife. "I'm not Aiden. Here, this is your anniversary gift," he replied and threw the necklace at her feet. "How dare you?!" Kira growled with fury in her voice. "I don't even know why I married you in the first place. You are a disgrace of a man, a fool who is spilling what he doesn't know. Why must you be so useless all the time? Why can't you just get the f**k out of my life?" Kira yelled at Drax. Then she crouched and picked up the necklace. Kira saw that it was an expensive one, and she was surprised that her husband could afford something like that. "You stole this necklace, didn't you? Now you've decided to add thievery to your long list of imperfections? Can't you just, for once, do something impressive with your life?" Kira screamed at him. "Do you know how long he saved up just to get you this necklace? Do you know how much he's had to put up with so that you can have this gesture of love tonight?" Drax yelled at her back but Kira flared her hands in frustration. "Who the f**k are you talking about, Aiden? Have you lost your f*****g mind as well?" She screamed at Drax. "I'm not your husband, Lady. You disgust me. It was not his fault that life was very unfair to him. He did his best, he has always done his best. But you couldn't see that. You never have," Drax said in a calm tone while images of the life that Aiden lived flashed before his eyes. The images reminded him of the time when he too had nothing; when he was younger and had to beg before he ate for the day. That was a time that people back in his world didn't know, because Drax had decided to keep that off the radar. In his world, weakness was not an option. Kira's loud sigh pulled Drax away from his thoughts. She placed her hand inside the dip of her bra and took out a document. Drax watched while she stretched the paper, gazed at it before her fiery eyes found their way back to Drax again. "This is a divorce arrangement. I can't do this anymore. You have stigmatized my family for so long and I want you out of my life," she said to Drax and stretched forth the paper to him. "Sign these papers. Get the f**k out of my life," she said again. "No. That is your husband's decision to make, not mine. You'll discuss this with him when he gets back," Drax replied to her, and Kira laughed. "Are you pretending to be insane just so that I wouldn't dump your sorry ass? Newsflash, it's not working Aiden. I have put up with you for too long. Sign these divorce papers now!" She screamed. "No." Was Drax's solemn response. "I don't love you anymore. I have never really loved you. Can't you take a f*****g hint? Just leave. Or else, I'll get my guards here and they'll beat you into submission," Kira threatened him. Just as Drax was about to respond, a bright light from an incoming vehicle made him stop. A Porsche slowly approached the gate and parked because the assassin's car was hindering it from moving forward. Two men stepped down from the car and opened the door for a young man with a proud look on his face. He was drapped in an expensive suit, and while he approached Drax, Drax hated him on the spot. He dealt with his mind constantly badk in his world. And the images that soon flooded his mind told him that his intuition wasn't wrong. "Justin Hale, Manager of Blackview Incorporated," Drax muttered out while Justin approached with a wicked smile on his face. "You should be greeting me on your knees, with your head touching the ground," Justin said to Drax who scoffed. Then, another memory came and Drax saw that Aiden had caught Justin and Kira f*****g in their matrimonial bed earlier that night. Kira saw him and that was why she sent someone to kill him in a panic. "You bastard!" Drax cursed at Justin who punched him in the face. Drax fell to the ground as Aiden's body was too frail. While he bled, Justin approached him. "He has refused to sign the divorce papers," Kira stated from over the gate and gave the papers to Justin. "Hold him down," Justin commanded his men while he grabbed Drax's hand and poured an ink on it. He placed a thumbprint on the paper and kicked Drax again when he was done. "I can simply tell the judge that the foolish man can't even remember how to sign. Face it, Aiden. You have nothing to offer Kira. I am the one she deserves. Now that you're officially divorced, never come back to this house!" Justin added before his men picked Drax and beat him up. He tried to fight back but Aiden's body was too weak. Drax could do nothing with it at the moment. After beating him up, they dragged him into the surrounding woods and dumped him there. Drax coughed out blood as he stood to his feet. He had to go back to his world now. He figured that his time here was up. In his mind's eye, Drax saw a blue button with 'communicate' written on it. He pressed the button and a menu popped up. [Listening] "I wish to go back to my body," Drax said. [To initiate a forced soul swap, you need 500 points. You currently have 10 points. You are 490 points short] Was the response he got. "500 points? I can't stay here to make that much." Drax thought. "How about to speak with Aiden?" [10 points to communicate with your host's subconscious] Drax nodded. If he could get Aiden to voluntarily swap back, things would be better. He wouldn't have to swap using any points, and he could go back to his world and teach his wife and brother the lesson that they deserve. "Let me speak with him," Drax said, and the menu closed instantly. While Drax waited in silence, a bright blue light filled his mind. It shone so brightly as Drax watched. That was a good thing. In the world of systems, blue was good. Red was not good, and Drax was glad he didn't see any form of red. Well, not until a single streak of red light suddenly impregnated the bright glorious blue light. "What the hell?" Drax muttered in surprise.
