Chapter three

Drax watched as the streak of red light began to take form. A humanoid silhouette slowly appeared while he gazed at the figure, trying to figure out what was happening. "Aiden?" Drax called out as the figure became a man. "Who are you?" Aiden asked Drax, a look of surprise on his face. "I am the man who is currently inhabiting your body. We must have died at the same time and our souls swapped across parallel worlds," Drax gently explained while Aiden's brows furrowed. Aiden's gaze gently turned to the left, like something or someone was talking to him. Then, he looked at Drax with an uncertain look on his face. "I've seen the life you lived here, Drax… it's very pleasant. Way better than my life over there," Aiden said as he tried to avert Drax's gaze. "I want us to swap our souls back. My wife cheated on me with my blood brother and then poisoned me to death. It my desire to have my revenge. Your wife tried to kill you too. Perhaps you can have your revenge as well," Drax voiced out, but Aiden gave him no response. Drax frowned at him. "Aiden?" "I don't want to go back," Aiden firmly replied. Drax scoffed. "What do you mean by you don't want to go back? You must return to your body. Our soul swapping is disrupting the balance of the universe," Drax explained. He could feel his anger rising, but still, he managed to maintain his cool. "I am being treated like a king over here. I have everything I want. Maybe your wife tried to kill you but I still have a better chance of living a good life here than back in my world…" "Aiden…" "I'm sorry, Drax. But I will not swap! You have to find a way to survive in my body," Aiden replied and crossed his arms. "You are obstructing my Justice! And you have no idea what kind of world you're getting into. Swap back now or regret the consequences!" Drax yelled now. He was done playing nice. If Aiden would not swap of his own volition, he would force him to. "At least, no one treats me like trash here. Everyone respects me. I'm someone important here-" "You're not me!" "I am you now, Drax. Better get used to it. I wish you a manageable life over there. Sorry it had to come to this," Aiden replied to him and turned back to walk away. "No!" Drax called out and stretched forth his hand to grab Aiden's shirt, but suddenly, a bright red light appeared and formed a wall to protect Aiden. Drax frowned. "The Soul blocking system. It came to Aiden? I can't force him to swap if that system is still active," Drax said to himself. The red light slowly dissipated and vanished, and the moment it did, Drax was forced out of the dreamscape. "No! I have to go back. Tell me how to go back," Drax said to his system. [Host not complaint. Need 1000 points to override The Soul Blocking system and initiate a forced swap] Was the comment his system gave. "1000 points? That's f*****g much! How do I make so much?" Drax groaned. This was not how he expected things to go. Not even once did he imagine that Aiden would decide to steal his life. Perhaps he should have seen it coming, but Drax always liked to see the good in people. "Help! Somebody help me!!" Drax heard a female voice scream from a relatively close distance. He listened carefully to ensure that he wasn't hearing voices. "Help me! He's trying to r**e me!!" The voice came again. [Mission update: Save mystery lady and earn 20 points.] The words displayed before Drax. He wasted no time before he sprinted in the direction that the cry came from. If he wanted to go back to his world and get his revenge, he had to complete every mission that the system gave to him. Drax soon found a tall man trying to r**e a lady. He quickly pounced on the man and kicked him off the lady. The lady watched them as Drax used his latent Martial arts skills and knocked the man out. [Mission completed. 20 points reward granted.] "Are you alright?" He asked the lady while she stood up, completely terrified. "You saved my life. Thank you so much, stranger. Can I know your name?" She asked him. "I'm… Drax." He told her. "Drax. My name is-" "Miss Cara! I have been looking for you everywhere! I heard the screams." A tall man dressed in black suit came running towards them. "I'm okay. This stranger saved me from my abuser." Cara replied. "Your grandfather would have killed me I'd anything had happened to you. I've fixed the car ma'am. Let me take you home." The guard offered. Cara nodded and then turned to Drax. "Please come with me to see my grandfather. He is the CEO of Blackview Incorporated. He'd love to meet with you," Cara said to Drax. That was the same company where Justin Hale worked. Was this simply a coincidence? Drax nodded and followed Cara while the guard led them to the car. Along the way, she grabbed his hand and held on to it. Drax's heart warmed by this gesture. Despite the fact that he looked like a beggar, she wasn't disgusted by him. Drax made up his mind to protect her even more from then on. It didn't take long before they drove to a huge mansion with colossal gates. As the gates rolled open, the guard drove into a compound that was a majestic as it was beautiful. Yellow lightings adorned every corner, and while the car parked before a fountain, Drax was truly impressed. Cara led him inside the main building, still holding his hand. "Stay here. I'll get my grandfather," she told him when they got to the main hall. As she ascended the staircase, Drax took in the view of the hall. It was great. "Help! Guards!! We have a thief in the house!!!" A female voice suddenly screamed. Drax confused, turned around and saw a woman standing before him. And her finger was pointed at him!
