The car parked with a subtle screech in front of DQ cars dealership, and Drax stepped out. He gazed at the building for a moment before he gently approached while the driver hurled off to the garage.
The security men shot him glares as he walked into the building. He ignored their looks and was soon greeted by a large, open reception space. DQ cars dealership was the best in the city, and Drax had done his research.
"Are you Mr Drax who I spoke with on the phone?" A tall, lanky man appeared and took a stare down at Drax, sizing him from head to toe.
Although Drax wore an expensive suit, the years of ill-treatment still took it's toll on his general appearance.
"I am. And what was that about you not having my proposed car in stock anymore?" Drax questioned him, but the man sighed, paying little to no regards to Drax. Of course, Drax recognized him as the manager.
"I'm sorry to inform you sir, but that car you wanted has been purchased already. We got a higher offer for it. But I can show you other brands if you want," the manager offered and Drax frowned.
"It's a 2025, one of a kind Bentley. That is what I wanted. I paid twenty million dollars for it," Drax stated but the manager shrugged.
"Listen, Mr Drax. We got an offer of thirty million dollars for it and we had to sell. It's business. Besides, you don't look like you can afford to pay us twenty million dollars. Take a good look at yourself, sir. You're malnourished. Your eyes are sunken. I think you're here to waste my time," the man replied and crossed his arms.
Drax gritted his teeth as anger rose within him. In his world, he had everything that he wanted. But still, they keep underestimating him in this world.
"I am the new acting CEO of Blackview Incorporated. You will speak to me with respect," Drax gently stated but the man laughed.
"Yeah? And I am Bill Gates. Listen, I believe it's time for you to go. I don't want any scammer ruining my business for me. And from the looks of things, you are a scammer. So, leave or else I'll call security," the man told Drax.
Drax's first instinct was to turn around and leave, however, he wanted to teach the arrogant man a lesson. He gently dipped his hand into his pocket and took out the black card that Cara gave to him earlier.
The man watched with curiousity as Drax handed the card over to him with a frown on his face.
"I'm offering 50 million dollars for the car. Make the transaction immediately!" Drax stated. The man arched his brow and took the card from Drax, and his eyes widened when he saw the names written on it.
"Y-you are really him?" The man asked as his lips parted in shock. Drax said nothing, but just looked at him with anger in his heart.
"I don't know what to say, sir. I'm very sorry sir. I didn't know who you were-"
"You chosed not to acknowledge my presence. You're lucky that your dealership is the only one that has what I need. Otherwise, I would have taken my business some place else," Drax said to him and the man nodded.
He quickly rushed toward a lady sitting on a desk and whispered some things to her. She glanced at Drax with a surprised look on her face before she nodded at whatever it was the man had told her and quickly went away.
"Please, this way sir," the man said to Drax and led him into a little walkway where he stood to admire the posters of cars on the wall. Even in his world, Drax had always loved cars. He believed that a man's car was his earliest form of expression.
"To command respect, your car must do the talking first," that was what he always said.
"Well well, look who we have here," a familiar, female voice suddenly dragged Drax back to reality. The sounds of the stilettos colliding with the floor echoed through the walkway. Drax turned around.
"What the hell are you doing here? This isn't a place for the likes of you," Kira asked Drax with an amused look on her face. She gazed at his outfit, arching her brow as she noticed the obvious glow up in his appearance.
"Kira. Why don't you just move along? You can save yourself some dignity and not continue to humiliate yourself further," Drax gently stated to her but Kira's face darkened at the remark.
"What? You scumbag! How dare you speak to me in that manner? I demand to know what the f**k you're doing here!" She yelled at him. Drax was pissed. And he didn't want to entertain any form of shenanigan after the day he just had. So, he scoffed and walked away from her.
"Don't you dare turn your back on me while I'm talking to you! What is your mission here?" Kira yelled after him while he walked away. She didn't stop. She followed him as Drax caroused through different sections of the building.
"Did you come here to plan a heist? Are you here to steal a car? Maybe I should call the police to lock your pathetic ass up!" Kira yelled at him again.
"Do you ever shut that dirty trap of yours?" Drax asked her and she flared up again.
"You are nothing! Don't talk back at me, you f*****g lowlife. You are nothing!!" She screamed at him, and at that time, onlookers began to gather around them, each wondering what was happening.
"What's going on?" The manager approached the pair with a curious look on his face.
"Oh, yes. Mr manager. You must lock this criminal up. He's here to steal something. I'm sure of it," Kira accused but Drax chuckled.
"Ma'am, I'm sure there's been some mistake. He's not here to steal," the manager said to Kira but she let out a derisive laughter.
"You don't know what you're saying! He's a thief. Can he afford anything in this place? What does that f*****g tell you?" She yelled at the manager, but people began to whisper about her at that moment.
"This man just paid fifty million dollars for the most expensive car in our catalogue. A poor person wouldn't be able to do that, don't you agree?" The manager said to her and Kira froze.
She looked at Drax, and then at the manager.
"W-what? No. I'm certain there's been some mistake. You see, he can't afford that. He probably stole the money or something," she argued on but the manager shaked his head.
"No, he didn't. Here, sir. Your card, and the keys to your Bentley 2025. Congratulations on your new ride!" The manager beamed with a smile and handed the stuff to Drax.
Kira's heart skipped a beat when she heard the model of the car.
"Hold the f**k up! Is that MY Bentley? I paid thirty million dollars for that car. It's for my upcoming wedding!" She yelled at the manager who immediately shot her a glare.
"He offered us twenty million more. I told you there was a buyer earlier when you offered thirty million. He just returned to claim his car," the manager replied, but Kira shuddered.
"You f*****g snake. You're a criminal. Both of you!" She yelled at them and when Drax was about to leave, she grabbed his shirt.
"Get your f*****g hands off me!" Drax warned her.
"Not until you give me those keys, you thief! I'll have you arrested for fraud today. Somebody call the police now!" She yelled out and people whispered.
But then, two security men rushed towards them and grabbed her, dragging her out.
"What? What is this? Unhand me at once! How dare you touch me with your filthy hands? Do you know who I am?" She yelled while they kicked her out of the building.
"Apologies, sir. I take full responsibility for what happened, and I'm sorry," the manager said to Drax who walked away without a word.
Outside, the Bentley sat in waiting, and Drax with a satisfied look on his face got into the car and zoomed off.
But along the way, his eyes caught Kira's while she stood by the roadside. Anger flashed in her eyes as Drax drove past her.
She picked up her phone and dialed a number.
