I awoke curled up in Nathaniel's arms feeling better than I ever had. The sun was just above the horizon, I would need to return to the compound today so they knew I survived. I figured the return would be easier with my dhampir abilities, but I would miss Nathaniel.
I rolled over, placing my leg over his. I could feel his erection growing against my thighs and gave him a kiss. He kissed me back and rocked his hips causing his erection to slid over my entrance. I sighed as Nathaniel rolled onto his back, pulling me on top of him. I lifted myself up and slid down onto him. I rode him until we both came and I dropped onto him, chest to chest. I kissed him and laod my head on his shoulder.
"Shall we get cleaned up?" he asked.
I laughed and nodded. He lifted me off of him and he stood up. He grabbed my hand and led me to the other room. My mouth dropped, it was amazing. He had put together an amazing space that included a kitchen space and bathroom. We walked over to a small area that had a modified shower head and a rain barrel. There was a track leading from the barrel to a hole in the wall that appeared to go outside.
Nathaniel lit a candle under a smaller barrel and grabbed a ladel. "The beginning will be a bit cold, but the rinse water will be warm." He covered me with the cold water, then grabbed a bar of soap to cleanse me. Once I was covered with suds he led me under the shower head and let water rinse the soap off. Nathaniel wrapped me in a towel and quickly cleaned himself.
"I need to return home tonight. My brother will be worried about me," I said turning to face Nathaniel. "I don't want to leave you though."
Nathaniel walked over to me and kissed me on the forehead. "You need to leave, the full moon is on two days and my wolf is unpredictable. You won't be safe with me. Go back and we will be together more later."
I got dressed and strapped on all my weapons. I noticed my boot knife was there. "You rescued my knife from that vampire?" I asked in disbelief, looking back at Nathaniel.
"Yea, I figured if you survived that you might want it and if not, well, it is a good blade."
I nodded, it was reasonable that he would want it if I couldn't use it anymore. It was a world that stealing from the dead was normal. If you needed something more, you should take the item.
"Oh, do you know of anything I can take nack to the compound? I would like to bring something back to show it is worth me coming back out in the future." I half expected Nathaniel to dismiss my inquiry. He was full of suprises though, so I knew I shouldn't expect anything.
He smiled, "Well baby, you will need some blood to take back to last you until you can get back out here. I will help you get some supplies, mostly so you have a place to hide your blood."
I grinned, he was helping me out and had called me baby. "Okay, let's go."

I ran after Nathaniel, trying my best to keep up. Man, he was fast, but I was a lot faster now. I pushed myself harder and started to pace him. We were within half a mile of the compound when Nathaniel turned and went into a building.
"This building has been cleared by the compound."
"Not all of it, there are a few hidden areas that only lycanthropes and vampires can get into."
"Oh," I said as I followed him. He moved aside a heavy fridge unit and led me down a set of stairs. In the basement there was a hoard of dry groceries. Nathaniel opened a hatch in the floor showing refrigerated meats, cheeses, and blood. "Holy crap, that is a lot of food."
We had about the same amount of food in the compound storage, this was amazing.
"I can't bring back anything that is refridgerated or they will know something is up. How do I store the blood though?" I looked up at Nathaniel.
"You'll have to dig a hole in the ground and put it in the dirt if you can. It will keep it some, but not as long as if yoi can dig deep like this."
I thought about it. My floors were dirt with some rugs. "Hmm, I can make it work. Thank you." I kissed Nathaniel again. I loaded up the empty backpack that I had been carrying, it was enough that they would send me out again.
When the bag was full we placed a few blood bags under my shirt with tape. I tucked my shirt back in and we climbed back up the stairs. Nathaniel moved the heavy fridge back and we left the building. He gave me one last smolder kiss then jogged off back towards the building he lived in.
I started walking towards the compound, halting my steps when a fast zombie ran out in front of me. I unsheathed my sword and sliced the head off the fast zombie before it even noticed me. Woah, I was fast, I would be able to take on more than before. I smiled.
I fought my way back to the compound, killing all creatures that crossed my path.
I knocked on the outter door of the compound and watched as a slot in the door slid open.
"Selene, where is everyone else?" Commader Cullins asked through the door.
I looked down, trying to avoid crying. "They didn't make it," I croaked out.
Cullins sighed and closed the slide. I heard him yell up to open the door. The clang was loud in the quiet of the dawning evening.
I walked through the door and heard it close behind me. I made my way to the storage area to drop off the food I had collected. I couldn't deviate from the plan or someone might question what had happened. I would be debriefed later and disclose most of what happened. Cullins wouldn't care about how I survived, only how the others were killed and when.
After dropping off the goods I wondered back to my barracks room so I could bury the blood. I wouldn't need to drink more for a few days. I had just recovered the dug up dirt with a rug with Brian came bursting into my room.
"Excuse me, ever heard about knocking?" I asked with a smile. I walked over to my brother and gave him a hug.
"Welcome back Selene. I heard everyone else died. Are you okay?" Brian asked.
"I'm fine, let's go get dinner."
