Aftermath

~Caleb~ I’m sitting at the kitchen table with my d***k hanging out after having gotten an amazing, unexpected bl.owjob. I never expected that from her, and I was torn. I mean, I wanted her, definitely, but I wanted to take it slow for her sake. Then again, Cherish and I have never gone slow, and I guess this is all a muscle memory thing. My heart sank when I saw the look on her face when she finished. She looked genuinely mortified, and I hated that. I had the most enjoyable evening, and she was the reason for it. Yet she looked like she hated herself for what she had done. I slowly put myself back into my pants and close everything up. I clean up the table, trashing our empty containers. I trash the food she tried to make and place the empty dishes in the sink. I clean all the surfaces, only leaving the empty dishes in the sink, and she still hasn’t made her way out of wherever she went. I walk down the hall, letting my nose seek her out. She’s locked in the bathroom, and I can hear her sniffling. I gently knock on the door, hoping she will open it. I wait a few minutes, but there’s no movement. “Can you please leave?” “Cherise, we sho-” “Please.” Her voice cracks and I just know the tears are flowing. I sigh, knowing that I can’t do anything other than what she’s asking of me. I place my face and hand on the door, wishing I could hold her. “I’ll go, but please don’t beat yourself up. I enjoyed our night and I’m so grateful you were comfortable enough to be close to me like this. I… I hope you let me return the favor one day.” She doesn’t respond before I turn and walk away. The ride home was quiet, but I’m glad for it. Everything that happened raced through my mind. I want to be with her right now, but I know she needs time to come to terms with what happened between us. I just hope it doesn’t make her run away from me completely. Thankfully, I’m able to get to my room uninterrupted. I was ready for my mom to pop up and start with her mess. I still can’t believe she showed up with a random woman at the company. I never thought my mom would take things so far, but it looks like I was wrong. I take a long shower, hating to wash off her scent but knowing it’s necessary. We should have stayed with her. She didn’t want us to. We have to respect her wishes right now. Eros curls up in the back of my head, allowing me to get some sleep. ❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥ Morning comes much too soon, and I slowly roll out of bed. My night was plagued with dreams from the past, along with rehashing what happened after dinner. I sit on the edge of the bed and sigh, running a hand along my head. I have no idea what awaits me at work today, and I’m nervous about that. I quickly dress, ready for a day at the office. I leave my room and make my way downstairs to get some food before going to the office. When I walk into the dining room, it’s pretty empty. I have a seat at the table, and it doesn’t take long for an Omega to put a plate in front of me. “At first, I was excited when I turned in and you weren’t home.” I internally sigh. I had hoped this wouldn’t be an issue this morning, but clearly, I was wrong. “I get up this morning and see a message from Nivea, making me realize you weren’t with her.” Mom sits at the table, and a plate is placed in front of her. “Care to explain what happened?” I place my fork on the table and dab at my mouth with a napkin. “Care to explain why you thought it was okay to bring a random woman to my place of business?” Mom turns her face to me with a mask of indifference. “I told you that I would make sure to help you. I refuse to sit back and let you lose your life because you’re being stubborn. I will bring as many women around as I need to until you find someone to join your life with. I will not watch you die slowly.” The anger is threatening to explode. I’m well within my right to explode with anger, but this is my mom at the same time. I respect her for that sole purpose. I push my chair back, placing the napkin on my plate. I stand up and move away from the table. “I’m not doing this with you. Stay away from my office if you can’t respect the workspace. Don’t bring anymore women there to see me.” I walk out of the dining room, not waiting for a response. I don’t know who my mom is right now, and it’s bothering me. The ride to the office seemed fast today, and the closer I got, the more nervous I became. There’s a serious chance that Cherise won’t show up to work today. She may even put in her notice and quit. If this were my Cherish, I wouldn’t even entertain these possibilities, but this is Cherise, and I’m not sure what time did to her. I walk through the lobby to the elevator, keeping my head down. My nerves are getting the best of me. I just want to get to the sanctuary of my office, and I will deal with everything else later. The elevator ding shakes me, but I keep my face neutral. I step out of the elevator, noticing that Breyanee isn’t at her desk. I check my phone and realize I’m a bit earlier than usual. I guess skipping breakfast fast-tracked my schedule. My breath comes out in a shudder when I see Cherish’s desk empty. I’m not exactly surprised. I just need to figure out my next steps. I step into my office, quietly closing the door behind me. Her scent immediately takes over my senses, and my body responds. I slowly turn around to find her leaning against my desk. She’s fiddling with her fingers, but she’s here. “Cherise?”
