THEODORE The last thing Theodore expected after capturing a traitor was a unicorn on his bed. Who dressed like a unicorn at night? The bride he never asked for. She looked so tiny beneath him. He rolled off the bed and she sat up. "But Miss Khelani said this is my room" She said. That crazy sister. She had done this on purpose. She was probably waiting for him to fall for the bride. Never. He would rather go to hell. "Use the guest room" Theodore said. She left without another word and he sighed. --- **NEXT MORNING** Theodore pushed Joanna off him after their long night. She was his regular and also a member of the clan. "Can we go one more round?" Joanna winked. "No. I have things to do" Theodore adjusted his tie. Joanna just kept watching him. She could never get enough. Every day she saw him and each time it felt like he grew more attractive. Heat coiled in her core just from looking at him. "Please, one more round" She whined. "I'm busy" Theodore tossed two bundles of money onto the bed and she frowned. "Theo" She pouted, already pulling on her dress. "Get out, Anna" His voice was cold enough to send a shiver down her spine — though what she felt was anything but cold. She frowned. She hated when he spoke to her like that. Joanna left. "Can't believe you slept with Joanna on your wedding night" Pascal said, his shock obviously fake. "I didn't ask for the girl, so why would I care? You can have her" Theodore scoffed. Pascal was his brother. Well, not his only brother. There was Rex. "Nah, I don't do married women" Pascal laughed. "And the traitor?" Theodore asked. "Just woke up. Tied in the dungeon" Pascal said. "Good" "Do you ever do anything that doesn't involve the clan? Even your marriage had clan business written all over it" Pascal groaned. "If you're about to lecture me about my devotion to the clan, it's 7 in the morning and I do as I please" Theodore said flatly. He walked out of the room. "Good morning" A small voice said and he walked straight past. The bride. Irritating. "It's basic human courtesy" She called after him. Pascal chuckled. "Good morning" Pascal answered her. "Don't worry, Theo is just grumpy. Lani will be here soon to keep you company — that is, if she isn't busy" Grumpy. He wasn't grumpy. They arrived at the dungeon. A man was chained in an X position. He looked like a disaster. Bloody lip, broken nose, swollen cheeks and eyes. Almost dead — or close enough. "Where do we start?" Theodore scanned the tray of tools with a slow smirk. "This will do" He picked up a small blade and walked toward the man. "I'll ask once, and I'll ask nicely. But if you refuse to speak, we both know what comes next" Theodore said. "Who sent you?" The man grinned through broken teeth. "You'll kill me anyway. What's the point?" Theodore chuckled. "Fair enough. You chose this path." He sliced the man's right ear clean off. The scream that followed bounced off every wall. Two men entered carrying buckets. Theodore lifted the first and poured it slowly over him. Hot water. The man screamed, trying to wriggle against the chains. They dug deeper into his skin with every movement. "Please!! Please!! Please!!" He wailed. “Please!! Just kill me” he screamed out of desperation. "That's not what I want to hear" Theodore smirked, then scooped a cup from the second bucket. Acid. The man didn't have time to register what it was before it landed on his c**k. Not the balls. Just the c**k. He screamed in pure agony. "Just end it" He sobbed. "Please, just end it" Theodore picked up a napkin from the tray and wiped the blade clean, then his hands. The man continued to weep. By dusk, it would all be over. He would be dead. "That is genuinely inhumane" Khelani said from the doorway. Theodore didn't respond. "How was your wedding night?" "First your twin, now you. Go ask her yourself" Theodore said. "Don't tell me you didn't touch her" Khelani sighed. "I won't. Ask your twin" Theodore smirked and walked past her. "Dad's return has been pushed back" Khelani said, falling into step beside him. "Means I run the club longer" "You already knew who sent him — why distroy that d**k?" Pascal said, coming in behind them, his expression somewhere between disturbed and fascinated. He knew who had sent them but anyone who betrays the clan must die. He regrets giving the priest such an easy dead. "Admiring a traitor. I should have your head on a silver platter" Theodore said flatly. Pascal was bisexual and hid it from no one. Pascal laughed and Theodore moved to leave. Khelani followed. "Theo, please assign someone to help me at the club" Khelani pleaded. "No, Lani" "Please. Dad won't be back for a while and it's a lot to manage alone" She pressed. "No. It has been six years since that happened and you still refuse to train. You cannot run a bar for a few days on your own?" Theodore said. Khelani went quiet. "I know it isn't easy. But my answer is still no" Theodore added. Khelani smiled faintly and said nothing more. Then someone walked straight into him. The bride. She was with a maid. "I'll leave you two" Khelani winked at Tania and dragged the maid away before anyone could object. "I'm sorry" Tania murmured. Theodore looked down at her. Why was she so small? He had seen her before but he was only now registering it — she looked young. Too young. Why would Pascal arrange this? He wasn't that kind of man and he despised that sort of thing. How old was she? Seventeen? "How old are you?" The question left his mouth before he decided to ask it. "I'm... 21" She stuttered. She did not look it. "Well, young lady — as long as you are my wife, stay out of my way. I am your husband because of that marriage certificate and nothing more. If you came here expecting some love story about a pure innocent girl and her prince charming, you are delusional" Theodore said. She blinked. "You'd probably die just from the tip of my c**k" He added. "And who said I'd die?" Tania asked.
