"Since I'm without my holy pearl, I'm like an human even though I still have my power, they are already fading. So I need to live like human. So I got myself an identification card, credit card and alot of human expenses. I can't believe you human needs may things to live." Just then Nayon younger brother came in. "Sis mom said you should prepare yourself." Nayon thought she would be busted but it seems her brother can't see him. "Were you talking to someone just now?" "Nope. Get going, I'll be down soon." She said as her younger brother moved out and saw the demon sitting peaceful with a smile. She wondered how her brother couldn't see him. "How do you do that?" "I'm a demon, invisibility is least of my powers. You can see me because you're with my holy pearl" He then continued. "Since you're with my holy pearl which is precious to me, I need to keep an eye on you. I'll be with you every time." "I'm an high school students, I can't employ a body guard." Nayon said. "Do you think me a demon would subject myself to become your body guard. I'm just after my holy pearl, I've reasoned with you so I decided to be closer to you, I'll have to go to your school." "You want to become an high school grader, you're 500 years old." Nayon ridiculed his idea but stopped when he noticed his gaze. "I'm immortal, do I even look like 20?" He was right. Nayon looked at him and he looked so young just like an high school grader. The feeling made her feel creepy. "Go and find something to eat downstairs." Nayon tried to send him away. "Don't try anything funny there." "I'm not a glutton like you humans, a cup of coffee is all I need." He went downstairs and left Nayon to herself. ~~~ Nayon was fully dressed in her school uniform and headed downstairs. She saw the demon sitting on the coach reading a book and on sensing her he dropped the book and waved at him. She saw her brother sitting just before the demon playing with his toys bricks yet not seeing him and her dad was on his laptop and not all of them sensing him. She went to meet her mother who was cooking in the kitchen. "Drink this soup to heal you faster and have your breakfast." Her mother yelled at her and passed her the soup which she gulped down. She went to the table and picked her toasted bread to have her meal. Just before her teeth could land on the bread, she feel it leaving her hand. She turned sideways and saw the demon eating it with much joy and excitement. Not her yummy bread. "Hey!" She shouted as she pointed her finger to him. Her noise attracted all eyes on her and wondered why was wrong. Who was she talking to? Nayon realized she had made a fool out herself, he made himself invisible to them. She sat quietly and mouthed to his ears. "I thought you said a cup of coffee was all you need." "Yeah, but I realize you human needs food to survive." He said as he took another bite of the bread. Nayon was so frustrated but she couldn't fight, her mother would think she was going crazy. "I'm going to school now, don't play tricks on people." She warned him. "Why then am I called a demon. A demon manipulates and trick people." He said with a smirk which made Nayon shiver. ~~~ Nayon arrived at the school and the while eyes were on her. She felt like dying and even blamed him for saving her yesterday. She wouldn't be here to experience all this. She was just on her way to her class when a student came to call her that her attention was needed in the staff room. She went inside the staff room and the next thing she saw was the demon. Their class teacher called her over. "Do you know him? He said you both attended middle school together?" Nayon looked at him and couldn't believe he could tell such a big lie. "Yeah, we had really a fun time in high school." Nayon replied. "Wow, he's a brilliant chap. He got all his questions correctly in mathematics, physics and chemistry." The class teacher praised him and Nayon scorned him in her mind. He was a demon anyways. "But the problem is that he didn't write his name on his script. Doesn't he have a name?" Nayon looked at him, it was true. She had never asked of his name. "Do you humans need name to live?" He asked and the class teacher looked at him perplexingly. Nayon tapped him and hissed. "His name is..." They both look at each other's eyes as Nayon tried to figure out a name. "Lucian." He completed himself. "It means light." Nayon scorned in her mind. Light indeed "Wow, an English name. Lucian, welcome to Roseville High School." The class teacher said as he led him to the class and the both followed him. They entered the class together and introduced him to them.
